Man City vs Newcastle United - 19/11/11 - 3pm

I had a similar dream except we won 4-3 with Santon scoring the winner. But like you, none of my dreams come true I had a dream that I set up Meatloaf to score the winner, then Stephen Fry jumped out of the crowed hugged him and they made out. But none of my dreams come true -
This kid's going to be a legend.

Ah, sorry Skirge just glanced over the post.

Yeah I agree with you. Taylor and in particularly Richards should have walked into that team, especially as it's a friendly.

Spot on that, I doubt anyone would argue they're 'good enough' (whatever that even means) to be regular starters for England but a little recognition wouldn't go amiss. How much better could we be doing exactly? Not bothered one bit in terms of the England team, it's just ridiculous that the cunt won't even come up to watch matches, never mind reward excellent form. Am I the only one who's glad Taylor gets a chance to rest over the international break?

I think Moses has looked good for Wigan this season - wouldn't mind seeing us in for him when Wigan go down (assuming we don't get Hoilett) Yeah Moses has looked good in patches, but his technique seems to let him down a bit. Best though

Really looking forward to this game, finally we play 'someone'. Can't wait to see how we perform against the best team in the league (atm), the next four games will indicate where we finish imo. If we come away with a few points from the next three games, then manage to bounce back with a win against Norwich we will be proper contenders for the Europa league places. It's all about character, we'll be seeing how much our team have soon. Saying all that, I think City will rest a few players for the Napoli game. With a few minor injuries to their key players during the international break, who knows what could happen? Just hope the ref this year isn't a completely blind knob end, fucking last year was ridiculous. Ben Arfa stretchered off = not even a yellow. Williamson gets a clean tackle outside the box = penalty. Shola gets taken out in their box = nothing. Was seething after that game like -
Europe is a long, long way away. But if we're talking hypothetically..... By next year we should be looking to give Sammy and Vuckic more time on the pitch, I think both of these players would do well for our team, given a good run of games. Tavernier is also looking really promising (I know league 1) and could possibly be involved more next season. Haven’t got a clue about Abeid apart from the few crackers he’s scored. Steven Fletcher always looks good when he plays for Wolves. Shame he's always injured though Wigan, Watson and Diame are the best of a bad bunch there. Really liking the look of Diame, proper beast of a midfielder (can’t finish for toffee) who would be a nice back up for Tiote. West Brom, Brunt is the obvious one here. What about Chris Wood, though? Tearing the Championship and Europe apart the kid is a real prospect.

Ben Arfa will prove his worth here, of that I'm sure. Just depends when he get's his chance. If Best has pulled his groin like people were suggesting Man City might be the game he starts, if so it'll be a chance for the lad to exorcise his demons (if indeed there are any). Still if Best is fit I'd happily keep the same formation and have a go at them like QPR did rather than attempt to stifle them. I don't know where people got the idea that Ben Arfa is personally saying he refuses to play on the wing though, it should deffiently be an option if Marveaux is out (and Best is fit). What a rambling post that was, need coffee.
