So there's one European World Cup between 2010 and 2030. Possibly even longer if Argentina & Uruguay share the centenary tournament (although the nostalgia won't be enough to realistically host a 48-team competition). Next time it comes round to Europe, you'd have to think it's England's turn. Italy '90, Germany '06, Spain '82, France '98.

Insane to sell Merino, especially as the fee looks poor. A profit, sure, but he's worth much more to us by staying.
