True. I'm thinking more about the way they'll blatantly sit back, and we struggle to get through that style even at the best of times!

Each of our last four seasons has either involved a cup final or Champions League football. Completely unimaginable for these unwashed. Hopefully tonight's huge defeat wakes up our lot, wanting a statement win.

He's done here. To not even be used in these times.... Howe has it in for him.

Stunned at how quickly it went from HT optimism to a humiliation. But actually, looking behind the score, it's not particularly embarrassing. Outplayed them for 1.5 of these two legs, before the 20-minute meltdown. Ahead of the derby, getting thumped 7-2 probably gets a better Sunday reaction than a 3-2 or 4-2 loss. Though I don't know how the win happens without Bruno or Tonali.

If the FA Cup final is won by one of the usual lot, will 8th place qualify for Conference League? I can definitely see 7th-placed Europa League as a possibility.

Assuming we buy a LB this summer, Hall can sometimes slot into CM

Forest will definitely go there and win. Honestly, looking through those fixtures, I don't see where the wins come from.

Statistics and gut feeling both say they've been extremely lucky, mind. This lot would regress to the mean next season but, of course, the club could have another good summer. Speaking of luck, their FA Cup fifth round clash is against bottom of League One Port Vale.... so they're basically one ok draw away from a semi-final spot

Gordon still needs to reach 'decent' never mind 'elite'

My workplace enemy is a Chelsea fan. Please don't let it be them.

Arsenal have plenty more time to (brilliantly) throw it away.

Aye, Trafford probably thought he had a good chance of replacing Ederson, and the 'new era' idea was confirmed when Pep sold him to Fenerbahce. But Donnarumma was a swerve.
-
Looking at the Spurs squad, there's very little. Not even sure it's one of the best 10 starting XIs.
-
Trippier RB, Burn LB, Willock anywhere. What a grim lineup.... the only glimmer of hope is that it's Spurs.

22 clowns in a pie throwing contest. Should be fun.

I don't like captaining a defender, never mind Triple Captain, but this season's main Double Gameweek will probably be when people Bench Boost. There's no guarantee (as of now) that Man City get another outside of that. Therefore it's now, and Gabriel/Rice.

Just a question of when, not if.
-
Depends if a team is willing to splash out £90m+ on him.
-
Just a few English teams, plus Real and PSG can afford him. Chelsea don't buy £90m+ 26-year-olds anymore, Arsenal have quite a few midfielders, and there'll probably be managerial changes at Man Utd, Liverpool and Man City. That's an optimistic way of assessing the landscape.

Juventus don't have that sort of money these days, do they? Outside of England, there's only 4 or 5 European clubs who can spend that.
-
Luckily this club reinvests really well.

That shirt is disgusting tbh. An insult to all senses.
-
I've always liked the wing-back system, and would like to see it continue tbh. That second midfielder has the freedom to get forward a bit, while the wingers can play a bit more centrally and support the striker. I'll be shocked if he doesn't stick with the static 4-3-3 though.

Compared to them getting Rashford and Asensio last January, there's a slight relief that Villa are down to Abraham and Douglas Luiz this time. In general, I'm quite jealous of them, but this season hasn't provided much opportunity to schadenfreude.
-
Relieved that Villa went with Abraham, rather than a good forward.
