    Sunderland...

I actually agree. He started off decent to throw us off the scent but now he's lasted more than 5 minutes, he's mocking us. He's as respectable as some tosser on Twitter (what a massive mug I am for even posting this) now though. Man, it all makes sense now. Massive mug? But I'm insulting the guy and to make it worse, I'm ranking him alongside Wearside.
  2. I can't believe my 'man love' for Joey can get stronger, yet every day he proves it does. He's an FM player

  4. Gosling played about 3 minutes and Ben Arfa took part in 4 games. We've definitely gained them. And unless you count LuaLua and Campbell as players, we've only really lost Nolan.
  5. Spot on. Getting £35m is a once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity and I saw this as the very last chance for Ashley to win me over, yet it isn't going to plan (for the fans, anyway). This could've been the summer where we got rid of the deadwood and used our financial 'warchest' to really push on and yet we still have those weaknesses you mentioned. And before anyone says "Wait til Septemeber 1st", the writings on the wall, really. It's looking very unlikely that we'll spend more than £10m net and whilst the club can spin it by saying we paid for a bore hole and a new gate, they're not pulling the wool over my eyes. To see it another way, from last season we've gained Cabaye, Ba, Marveaux, Gosling, Ben Arfa and Abeid, whilst only losing Nolan - so our attacking options have vastly improved. But we absolutely need a striker, a back up LB and a versatile defender that fills in at RB or CB. Despite there being plenty of time left to solve these problems, I have no faith in Ashley/Llambias/Pardew to do so.
  6. Preparing for finally getting relegated this year, i see. It would be like when Burnley appointed Brian Laws...
  7. I hope theres substance in the Sturridge link, rather than just another lazy, Sunday rumour because he's exactly what we need. The risk with 'loan to buy' is that he'll do well here but he won't sign for us because someone bigger wants him......thats how little I trust footballers now. But the good thing is that - with the striker search getting grim - it gives us another year to find the right striker to buy. Having said that, I still think we'll end up with Erdinc.

    Llambias

I don't care how immature this sounds, but Llambias deserves to be called any name under the sun. He's a vile human being and he's caused us hell. Fuck him.
  9. Nowadays, I fear being linked with England internationals. After all, they include Bridge, Carlton Cole, Hargreaves, Upson, Bothroyd, Heskey, various crap goalkeepers, Warnock, Zamora, SWP and Carlton Palmer.
  10. New twist = a third bidder. Probably.
  11. Yep. Think of the horror on their faces when you set the transfer window ablaze by swooping for him. Love the avatar, btw.

I love how Sewelly is one of the best and most respected posters on here, but when Wearside comes calling he turns fantastic

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Great to see those earlier fears dismissed. It sounds like he's just like he always was Couldn't have went much better for him, really
  14. Especially in the second division.
  15. Blackburn are signing Mariano Pavone. The biggest 'meh' signing south of Scotch Corner.
  16. Fair enough, the guy has suffered enough for his sin.
  17. Rightly or wrongly, my mindset now is that everything they say will probably lead to bad news.
  18. The Carroll saga made sure I never trust anything Pardew, Llambias or Ashley say ever again. Its made me cynical about everything this club does and even though £35m was an insane price, as a fan it still hurts. So they can deny we're selling Tiote as much as they want, I don't believe a word they say.
  19. Because people keep mixing Luis with Jose. I tried a super inverse double whoosh there and I guess it didn't work
  20. We haven't sold him yet
  21. Is that the same room as the angry Arsenal fan?
  22. I assume Villa would have the upper hand on city, wages, size of club and transfer fee. He'd be a buffoon to join Sunderland.
