  1. Routledge, Campbell and Xisco are gone, but we won't be able to get rid of the other fringe players. Hopefully thats £20m net too, in which case its a pleasant surprise.
  2. Owen and Heskey up front, with Barmby and Butt supplying them Yes please.
  3. themichaelowen michael owen What a great day. Royal Wedding followed by my horse winning at Leicester! Boring, boring man.
  4. But Mourinho can beat Barca and last wednesday proved it. he knows the way to beat them. does it always work? no, but he's done it enough. better than anyone else.
  5. Who is more likely to start for Man City this weekend - Balotelli or Dzeko?
  6. Ji-Dong Won is too similar to De Jong.
  7. From 'This Day in Football History': http://tdifh.blogspot.com/2011/03/12-march-1973-pele-comes-to-london.html http://tdifh.blogspot.com/2011/03/14-march-1973-plymouth-rocks-pele.html I know Pele was near the end of his career here, but Santos came to England and lost to Fulham (Div 2) and Plymouth (Div 3).
  8. Great news. He's a fantastic captain and has a great attitude (despite his comments after C*****l left). The heart and soul of our team, really.
  9. £4m is alright tbh. And he'd probably be fine to take a wage drop from his 60k. Would rather we didn't get crazy people like Ireland or Taarabt but they seem determined to buy one somehow.
  10. Even I am finding it hard to defend Mourinho there. I think he's wonderful, but he's starting to lose the plot. Those comments weren't mind games at all and he's gonna get bollocked for them.
  11. Messi could easily get 60 as well. 7 games to score 8 goals, although Pep might give him a rest before the final.
  12. Is this the Lee Stewart I've read so much about? http://www.powerleague.co.uk/centre/GAT.html (scroll to the bottom)
  13. Seeing it again......what a goal, man.
  14. "Another miracle with 10 men wasn't possible," said an angry Mourinho, whose side were overwhelmed 5-0 on their previous visit to the Camp Nou this season. "Yes, I think we are eliminated. We will go to Camp Nou with everything and to get a result but I can't see it. We will be without Pepe and (Sergio) Ramos who didn't do anything and neither did I." "I just want to know why? Why did Pepe get sent off? I just want someone to explain. Why did it happen? If I say what I think my career ends today. Sometimes I am a little bit disgusted to live in this world, but this is the world we live in." "If we go there (Nou Camp) and score a goal, they will kill us again. We have no chance. They have to get to the final and that's that." "Congratulations to a fantastic football team," Mourinho added in bizarre post-match press conference. "But congratulations for all they have as well, it must be difficult to get to get all this power. Where does this power come from?" Mourinho highlighted Barca's semi-final victory over his former club Chelsea in 2009, the Inter Milan semi-final from last season and now "the scandal of the Bernabeu," suggesting unfair red cards were issued to teams playing the Catalan side. "This thing happens in each semi-final," he said. "I am here just to ask this question and I hope to get the answer one day. I respect him (Barca coach Pep Guardiola) a great deal as a coach and a person... but I would like to see him win a Champions League without scandals."
  15. Real just bring the worst out of Barca - we all have somebody like that. Tonight wouldn't have happened if there hadn't been 2 other games in the last 10 days.
  16. people are being harsh on the match like....it was poor for a while but got fascinating near the end. pepe's red transformed the game (red card AGAIN ), even if it was a bit harsh. not proud of the way barca surrounded the ref though and pedro was an irritating prick. mourinho's smugness is legendary (can't help but love the guy) and i loved the sarcastic 'well done'. but messi, man.......he's the greatest that ever existed. i don't care what anyone else says.
  17. these teams can't wait to knock the shit out of each other. thats what you get when you have a series of games like this. i like the tension and find the match fascinating, but its frustrating. Real need to get the ball off Barca but they cant, but Barca need to break through the brick wall, which they cant. stalemate.
  18. We should create a Cliche Bingo card. ----------------------------- ZonalMarking say Puyol at LB.
  19. well you can't say he's not earnt a break, it's been aaaages since his last inj......oh. so many memories.
  20. Linked with Liverpool on Sky Sports website. No quotes though. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11678_6900082,00.html

LiterallyJamie Not Jamie Redknapp Just been hurling abuse at Darren Gibson. He left the stadium. That's one in the eye for those who say he's inconsistent
  22. So we've only been in the bottom half after 7 games? And top half for 27? Impressive....
  23. Would anyone go for Phil Jones if Blackburn go down? He's been linked with big clubs in the past, but I guess the English 'price doubler' might be a problem.
