Enrique is better. He is, but Taiwo is much better value for money. Without Europe next season, the money saved there would really help to strengthen other areas. Hopefully this is how they're thinking too because I'd be gutted to lose Jose.

fucking hell that match was dull and grueling to watch - kinda like our last visit down there. it was a team with ryan taylor, lovenkrands, ranger, kuqi and guthrie so i'm not sure what else we could've ask for, really. not that disappointed with losing but wish it wasn't to bloody Aston Villa. barton was very poor, stevie taylor abysmal and colo didn't have a great time in midfield. that debate should definitely be over now. PS/ david pleat is a shambolic commentator, he was so biased against barton. it was kinda pathetic.

fwiw, i reckon lukaku - if he's sensible - would be interested in coming here. if he gives us 5 years, he'll be 23 and will have the elite clubs fawning over him. 23 is still very young. meanwhile, he's stepping up in league quality and getting his name out there even more.....the regular football will improve him, help him adapt and remove the 'unknown' element which makes him a risk. we've seen many promising 18 year olds fall away. but theres no way we're spending that sort of money.
