  1. Yeah I think they'll just do it and Blackpool will go instead. But I'm sick of losing to Blackburn. This way Blackpool can plummet next season (which they would).
  2. Thats West Ham gone, thankfully. Hopefully Wigan and Blackburn join them....

    Arsene Wenger

I don't get it. After all the effort they put into self-destructing, they beat Man United? How does this work?
  4. I think if we weren't blessed with such a good transfer budget, i wouldn't bother with centre-back this year. But having this money represents a huge chance to find a partner for Colo that can represent a long-term partnership. Williamson's alright, but let's face it - he wasn't even brought in to be the permanent partner for Coloccini. We needed a centre-back at the time cos Taylor was injured again. It just so happened that he turned out to be a complete steal and a great stop-gap for a couple of years. But he's got blindingly obvious faults that mean it's time to replace him. Definitely. This cash is a fantastic chance to strengthen the spine of the team and finding a great partner for Colo would improve us so much.
  5. I think he's an ugly f***er. But thats just personal opinion. I debated changing the wording of my question in case somebody would make that joke, but I just decided "naah, surely nobody could be that lame." You've clearly overestimated me
  6. It said in the Sunday Sun that a striker, left back and central midfielder are our priorities, but I'd put a physical centre back number 3 in that list. It's becoming a weak spot.
  7. I think he's an ugly fucker. But thats just personal opinion.
  8. Carroll didn't score: CHECK Enrique having a stinker: CHECK The result: A bit inconvenient, but mehhhh
  9. Agree with Midds, Ronaldo and Pissi. Its a shame that Xavi has only became so appreciated in recent years, because he's one of the greatest midfielders ever. Daily Mail's "The best players of the world (and Xavi)" headline . Personally I didn't get the fascination with Zidane, so Xavi takes the crown.

    La Liga - 10/11

Can't believe this! As much as I love Mourinho, thats it for him now. The last few days have been a disaster and they won't turn it round at Camp Nou.
  11. Routledge, Campbell and Xisco are gone, but we won't be able to get rid of the other fringe players. Hopefully thats £20m net too, in which case its a pleasant surprise.
  12. Owen and Heskey up front, with Barmby and Butt supplying them Yes please.
  13. themichaelowen michael owen What a great day. Royal Wedding followed by my horse winning at Leicester! Boring, boring man.
  14. But Mourinho can beat Barca and last wednesday proved it. he knows the way to beat them. does it always work? no, but he's done it enough. better than anyone else.
  15. Who is more likely to start for Man City this weekend - Balotelli or Dzeko?
  16. Ji-Dong Won is too similar to De Jong.
  17. From 'This Day in Football History': http://tdifh.blogspot.com/2011/03/12-march-1973-pele-comes-to-london.html http://tdifh.blogspot.com/2011/03/14-march-1973-plymouth-rocks-pele.html I know Pele was near the end of his career here, but Santos came to England and lost to Fulham (Div 2) and Plymouth (Div 3).
  18. Great news. He's a fantastic captain and has a great attitude (despite his comments after C*****l left). The heart and soul of our team, really.
  19. £4m is alright tbh. And he'd probably be fine to take a wage drop from his 60k. Would rather we didn't get crazy people like Ireland or Taarabt but they seem determined to buy one somehow.
  20. Even I am finding it hard to defend Mourinho there. I think he's wonderful, but he's starting to lose the plot. Those comments weren't mind games at all and he's gonna get bollocked for them.
  21. Messi could easily get 60 as well. 7 games to score 8 goals, although Pep might give him a rest before the final.
