Just got back from that game and it was a nice win. Any lingering fears of relegation are gone and we can look forward to a meaningless, pressure-less end to the season. Personally didn't think ameobi played well, but hey ho. The best moment was either coloccini's masterpiece for the 3rd or stevie taylor's superman run (which he continued all the way) that led to him celebrating on his own, as if he scored. the mentalist! i'm convinced jonas only scored because he aimed for the corner flag and it accidently snuck in. but overall a lovely win, beautiful weather. cracking day!

If I bet on Newcastle games, I'd probably win a lot. But you need to cheer on your bets and hope they win. And I just don't fancy even a small part wanting us to lose. Guess its silly, really.

Although Enrique's absolutely mint (and still my favourite player), at times it feels pointless as we're still putting in some shocking performances (Stoke, Bolton etc.) and are nearly in a relegation scrap. His quality is wasted if the rest of our team plays like that. Wisely spending his transfer fee would stop us getting into those situations, even if it leaves us with a slightly worse LB. Then again, selling quality like Enrique and Carroll makes us worse and hence we get these shocking performances. I guess it all comes down to your view on how replaceable players are and how much faith you have that we'll spend money well.

wow. looking back, that relegation battle was pretty close too. i'd wager that 34 will get beaten this season though.

just realised that for no team is the 'Pld' column greater than 'Pts'. everybody has averaged 1 point per match, minimum. that is mental. has there ever been a season where the bottom team finished on 30+ points?
