Well I feel the first half of fixtures were easier, so expected a strong-ish start. Certainly don't feel as confident going away to Wigan, Blackpool, Blackburn and Stoke as being at home to them. Also, it was difficult to predict that the bottom half would be so tight.

Expected to lose these last 2 games, so theres no concern there. However, its been a weird season and 4 points off the zone indicates a relegation fight. Starting to get a little worried, even though I know we're good enough and we have Carroll/Ben Arfa. These next 3 games are monumentally big.

Great news as we can get some good coin for the lad. I fear Pardew will persist with him over Willo, but at least he's not terrible and its certainly better to have him around than not. Sell him in the summer, use that money to get Ben Arfa and find a modest priced CB.

I fear all these rumours will chip away at him and eventually Ashley will cave in. If he is sensible he'd know that it'd be ludicrous to sell him now, but we've all learnt that he clearly isn't. It'll be a long January.
