  1. £173,000 is owed to a former manager for a promotion bonus from the National League. He was owed £200k but £27,000 had already been paid. That seems ridiculously high? £200k promotion bonus to the manager of a non-league club? That does seem mad. Was in Macclesfield working for a few weeks last year. Not a bad town really. Sorry to see their troubles Aye, I've been to Macclesfield and it's alright. One of those places that sounds like it'd be a shithole just from the name.
  2. Aye, the ramble has gone to shit. Best thing about it was the fact that they've done it for years together and as such it seemed effortless, was just four mates chatting about football. Now it seems forced, the patter is terrible and not in a good way. No need to have it every day too, content seems stretched. Think I might bin it off unless it goes back to just the four of them again.
  3. Anyone think Gillespie will start? Was first choice for an Motherwell last season tbf, i'm not even sure Darlow would get in n SPL side.
  4. My Dad is a Blues fan How does this happen? A lad I know his father is a Spurs fan yet he's an Arsenal fan. I simply wouldnt have been allowed to support Sunderland like. I'd probably have gotten away with supporting someone else but not Sunderland. Yeah but this city has 3 clubs in it, families are split, too. Ah fair enough, I guess its more polarized up here with Newcastle and Sunderland being one club cities.

  6. Gonna nail my colours to the mast and say I don't think we'll go down. That team is good enough to stay up and proboably kick on towards the top half with a good manager. We'll scrape around 15th imo.
  7. Someone on twitter said he looks like all of The Strokes at once.
  8. I always find the opposite argument weird- sir bobby is no mug and wouldn’t have someone completely football brain dead as his assistant Bobby also had Mick Wadsworth as his number two before Carver. I’d suggest he had a little bit of a blind spot imo. Also had Mourinho like
  9. I thought we were knocked out under Robson? 1860 Munich was it? I think we won it when Parker was here, there's a picture of him holding the certificate looking glum
  10. Thought Diamanti was absolutely class on his day
  11. John Carver in Wylam, was sat on the table opposite me. Even more prune like in person. Sat and watched him lick his lips for a while.
  12. One thing im completely and utterly sure of is that the fans will continue to be left in the dark. There will be no PL statement. There will be no insightful NUFC statement. There will be no further comment from PIF. Maybe Caulkin, who clearly wasnt really in the know or someone else will claim to have some insight as to why it didnt go through but we'll never truly know because we're held in contempt by every single party involved.
  13. Dont think Ashley would have fucked it tbh. The deal was good for him, as much as I hate him I dont think its on him. Clearly PIF havent passed the PL tests and there was no way of doing so in their eyes so they've withdrawn to save face. The PL wont need to comment either. The most gut wrenching thing is the investment into the local area now gone. Would have been good for the region without doubt.
  14. I would also like the express my fondness for that particular Northern city. Would consider living there if the opportunity arose.
  15. Pretty sure thats what happened here, player didnt leave the pitch at the nearest side. Judging how much complaining their manager is doing I'm guessing the waiting sub didnt get on. https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/irish-league/glentoran/watch-darren-murray-receives-strange-red-card-while-being-substituted-as-glentoran-boss-slams-pathetic-referee-38564396.html
  16. People sitting around waiting for an 'announcement' as if thats all that it needs. They clearly haven't met the criteria to pass the fit and proper persons test else we would have heard about that. 17 weeks and counting since they first agreed a deal to buy the club. The situation wont develop from here imo and it'll remain as a stalemate.
  17. I'd like to see him played in his proper position, i.e on the left of a front three before completely assigning him to the bin. There are ever so slight flashes of raw ability, namely pace and strength. He's not in a million years a centre forward though.
