http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/sport/Hull-City-want-Premier-League-says-Cullen/article-2109611-detail/article.html I went right through school with him, he's a good lad. I remember when he got dropped from Newcastle; the reason being? He was too small and hardworking, not the type of player they were looking for.

"truly represent the values of the Geordie nation" Has to be one of the cringe worthy things they've ever said.

Please explain how money spent is a barometer of success - specifically taking into account the fortunes of Leeds (2003 - onwards), NUFC (2005 - 2008) and Liverpool (2009/10). If you think we'll stay in the league without spending anything, your in for a shock. To say we NEED to spend is a perfectly fair and valid point. Nobody's saying spending automatically constitutes to success, however it will go along way to determining weather we stay up or not.

The "We Won't Win Another Game This Season" Fred aka Relegation-o-meter

7 for me. And thats being Positive. -
No because Pompey are gonna get absolutely raped in the final so wouldn't have qualified for Europe anyway. They would. Chelsea's Europa league spot goes to the losing finalist.

Scumbucket Carragher Back In The England Squad.

Once told a lad I know to fuck off for just saying hello to him a few year back. Tosser of the highest order. -
Oh and Geordie Nation man. i'm sure these morons go out of their way to deliberately embarrass us at times.

Are there? Even if there is, that alone wont be sufficient to keep us in the league. Birmingham finished 9th(?) with Stephen Carr as a first choice RB. I agree it's going to be a massive struggle but with a bit of luck the squad we've got now plus a couple of frees and loans we could still realistically finish 17th. Stephen Carr has been class for Birmingham this season, they also spent around 16M this season and thats before fee's for the loans of the likes of Hart, Chucho, Vignal and Tainio. If we spend 16M If we spend anywhere near 16M I'll be massively shocked. Carr may have been class (never watched them really) but that's my point, hopefully Simpson can be class for us. Carr was **** when he left us 4(?) years ago. I checked before and they spent £5m on Johnson and £1.5m on Ferguson and that was it (excluding sales as well). Our squad is better than Birmingham's championship squad as well IMO, so as I say, I don't think its unreasonable to think we'll finish 17th. Add Dann; 4m, Gardner; 3.5M and Michel 3M and thats where I got the around 16M from. Of course it's not unreasonable to say we'll finish 17th but you can forgive me and many others for fearing the worst if we spend next to nowt.

If we have to sell to raise funds we'll go down with a whimper. Make no bones about it.

Everything, from this statement to Hughton's comments point towards us spending new to nowt this summer. If we don't spend much, I really honestly do fear for us this club. Just ask the mongrels down the road how s*** a good championship side can be in the premier league when very little money is spent. The premier league will be much stronger next year than this season, the 3 bottom teams were considerably worse than the rest of the league and I fear Wolves, Wigan and West ham will all spend more than us. I mean look at wolves, struggled this season yet spent 16M, can you really see us spending that much? You've got to speculate to accumulate in this league, something the club seems reluctant to do.

I had no idea Yildiray Basturk was at Blackburn, he wasnt a bad player in his day like, obviously not got the legs now judging by his single appearance.
-
Whats the fuss about Chamakh anyway, sure he's an improvement on Eduardo but he wont give you that cutting edge you need so badly, he's hardly been prolific in France and someone who can put the ball in the back of the net on a regular basis is exactly what you need.

The mass euphoria of a nation is one of the best things about the world cup. Who gives a shit weather they like football week in week out or not, for me, seeing the whole country truly unite for whatever the cause is simply fantastic.
-
Certainly a career ruined by injury. He's never really recovered from that horrendous injury at Man utd, he's definitely never looked the same player. Shame because I think he's a good lad who gives his all the the cause, sadly giving your all just isn't enough at this level.

Gallas number 10, what the hells that all about!?

Still have a glorious amount of hate for that club.

Amazing spectacle, as is every international tournament weather you participate or not. At Euro 2008 I just adopted a team and enjoyed the football. Of course their will always be the cynics who disagree for disagreeing sake, unable to join in with the hype and fun like everyone else and instead mouthing off like little brats just so they can be a little different.

Good shout! http://www.alleztfc.com/actu/un-nouveau-club-etranger-sur-gignac,5570.html Hmmm, only 5 goals this season.

His shooting was absolutely dreadful like, even that Watford goal was rising and a few yards back and it would have flew over the bar.
