FAC R5: Blackburn Rovers (A): 27/02/24 @ DELAYED 20:00 (Live on BBC One)

Id love to get down to Ewood again. Was there in 2009 for a 3-0 loss. Jason Roberts double and Nicky Butt sent off. We were hopeless. -

Moyes loves Soucek. He's not that good though, West Ham fans dont seem to rate him all that much.
-
Only if we were able to get two through the door in the remaining few days. Anyone we do sign, their clubs won't have time to replace them, meaning the fees would be in the 'cant turn down' region - which doesnt suit us. Can't see either leaving on that basis. Unless we have to sell to comply with FFP, which would be ridiculous.
-
There isnt much on offer like. If we've had a big game, or we've got one coming up ill listen to POTT through gritted teeth. An added bonus if I can get through an episode without a full on cringe.
-
This is only worth doing if we can reinvest quickly. 8 Days left on the window, so we're going to need to get rid of Almiron and get his replacement (who'll have to be available) without panicking or leaving us with Murphy as the only right winger. Cant see it.
-
11m is a waste of time tbh. Really cant see us investing it in a notoriously difficult January window with 6 or 7 days left, even with amortisation. Cant see this happening.
-
Good luck to her in Saudi Arabia then...
-
Can't see Trippier going anywhere near Saudi like. Got sick of Spain didn't he?
-
Last time I got into a squabble with KaKa he berated me over several posts for suggesting Nketiah wasn't a good enough striker for Arsenal to win the league. Blokes an absolute fool man.
-
Its a difficult one to judge I think. Just looking at some of the best full backs. Lahm retired at 34, Alba moved to MLS at 33, Neville (i know) was pretty much done at 34, Cole left Chelsea at 34, Zabaleta left City at 32, Cafu played on at Milan until 38, Walker still looking good at 33. Trippier will be 34 in September, he's obviously ridiculously fit and a great professional but in a league as demanding as the PL he'll only have so long left as an elite. Personally, I think despite a drop off in form, he's easily got another two seasons in him, especially if we're able to rotate with Livramento. He might feel that he could play on in the Bundesliga more than he could in the PL. It depends what Bayern are offering, contract wise too.
-
Then there you go. Thats him looking to leave if either Real or Barcelona meet our valuation should the widely reported rumour be true. Its really not that controversial to suggest Bruno will want to leave if one of Europe's elite come in from him. Nobody has suggested he'll down tools or force a move, but players want to achieve all they can in relatively short careers that can end at any time. Its part and parcel of football - no matter how much he likes it here or how well Dick Moura gets on with our fans.
-
He literally had a clause put in his contract that lowers his release clause for two clubs. He might have came when we were battling relegation, but every player that comes from France is somewhat unproven. Now he's not. He's proven himself to be one of the best in Europe. We can enjoy a player but you dont have to delude yourself about footballers and their career ambitions. He'll want to maximise what he achieves in the years left of his career, thats completely normal and its naïve to think otherwise.
-
Of course he's looking to move. He's 26, one of the best players in the league and he'll want to win major trophies. We're 9th and not really all that close to competing at the top. He might well love it here, but achievement in the game trumps that for him you'd imagine. I do think though, that he'll be well aware that there's only a few clubs that can provide that opportunity. PSG? I cant see him fancying that. They're going backwards, not going to win the CL (especially with Mbappe leaving) and who cares about Ligue1. I think he'll be off in the summer, possibly to Real Madrid and it'll be a move that suits him and in the clubs eyes, suits the club.

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Ancelotti to Brazil

No way we're signing Mourinho like. He's absolutely done at club level. 6th last season, 9th this. Conference League where they beat Vitesse, Bodo Glimt, Leicester and Feyenoord - no big hitters masks another poor spell. -

If worst comes to worst, I think Almiron could do a job in central midfield. I'd worry about his passing a little but he's played centrally before, albeit in a more advanced position. -
Fuck City like. Financially doped or years, tonnes of charges against them. Phillips career in tatters like.

If we had Joelinton and at least one other fit winger, I'd fancy a result. Miley, Longstaff and Bruno will be overran. De Bruyne masterclass incoming as city kickstart their annual storming of the league. 0-3. -

Off all day from S Gosforth to Town. Shite -
No I do completely, just worded it daft. I'm pig sick of the injuries.
-
Relentless this season with injuries. Absolute nonsense.
-
Never been that impressed by Solanke. He's been good this season and I dont know his underlying numbers, but thats not enough for us to splash out I dont think. Though potentially he could be a good fit. Central midfield and right wing are more pressing areas at the moment imo.
