Having no striker is killing us
-
Pathetic at keeping the ball like.
-
Enjoying Palace having a honking start. Get it up ye

The least ive ever seen a goal celebrated like. It was quite pathetic. I was stood at the back of the Gallowgate most of the game. Was better than sitting, thats for sure.

The best game i've ever been to and probably ever will. Unreal. -
This is it, hopefully they beat Villa at the weekend and he continues to stumble on. Want him there as long as possible

My order of preference: New Stadium where we are/Leazes Park New Stadium at the arena site Expand SJP New stadium at another site
-
Tough shite. You've knowingly bought a ticket in the safe standing.
-
That's fair enough and there's an argument that a bigger capacity trumps all. The capacity question isn't going anywhere either. I don't even think 60k is really enough. We might be somewhat riding the crest of a wave now but the demand isnt going anywhere. Demographics have changed, going to the football is very much a family day out these days. More women go than ever, in particular men go with their partners - this was less the case even 15 years ago. The prestige of going to watch Newcastle and football in general plays a bigger role. All of these things, coupled with the fact we're an ambitious club means the demand for tickets is going to be way higher than even 60k for the foreseeable imo.

It doesn't, it's purely my opinion. I think, the ability to design the stadium how they want, bringing everything from matchday food and drink under the NUFC umbrella would be too enticing commercially. That would trump and notion of the club being tied to the city centre. Its the way football is going. The ongoing corporatisation / making it more like the US sports experience. Whatever you want to call it. Build it and they will come is the top and bottom of it though. They'll still fill it, it'll be more commercially viable and people will lap it up.
-
If we move, it won't be city centre. That'll kill a large part of the club and city for me.
-
Be class if Palace go down like
-
Think if we'd had a striker to bring on we may have nicked it. Lack of options from the bench held us back from taking the initiative id say. The difference between us at home and us away is ridiculous

Newcastle United vs. Manchester City: 28/09/24 @ 12:30 (TNT Sports)

No Rodri is a big bonus. Would have done them at SJP last season if it wasnt for two world class moments from De Bruyne. Fancy us to get a point. -
City pass pass pass whilst trying to break them down whilst Arsenal (or any team that's taken the lead against them) sit back is the dullest shit of all time.
-
Sending off like. Only has himself to blame. Would have been harsh for the challenge but kicking the ball away is clear as day

Acl that like

Lovely goal that like

On a tactical level, there's some issues I have with the team at the minute. - The same goal that we concede all the time. They beat our press and hit us on the break. - Teams slicing through our midfield with ease. - The intensity and press that we showed earlier on under Howe just doesn't seem to be there. Theyre all related, I see calls for a proper defensive midfielder, but we were so solid under Howe's earlier reign. What changed? If he plays with a DM he'll have to tweak his system. Where has the intensity gone? We've always been poor at keeping the ball imo but that's negated if we lose the ball and then press high up the pitch to win it back. If we lose our intensity we become a bit of a nothing team. Doesn't seem so much of an issue at home. There's no doubt a load of reasons for it. Maybe Howe can fix it, maybe the issues aren't particularly deep seeded. Maybe there's way more too it. I don't know but a manager lives and dies by his results. If we keep playing the way we are, the results will reflect that more so than they have already and Howe will be gone.
