Think we really need another right sided forward player. Almiron/Murphy doesn't cut the mustard for a top 4 side with CL commitments. I think we need a new left back too. Id be happy if we got both.

Wonder if he really doesn't want to go and the club are pushing him out the door. He's only 26, got to be fairly demoralising having to go to Saudi Arabia if you're just about to hit the prime of your career. Can't say the comments from Leicester fans fill me with a great deal of confidence, but it can be difficult to judge a player fairly in a shite team. Close to 80m on Barnes and Gordon is some outlay. I'm going to refrain from passing judgement for a while as I can see in theory why we've signed both, Gordon already looks to be improved and if anyone can develop players, its Howe. Whether either has the quality to be mainstays in a top 5 side, I'm not convinced but we'll see.

Hes a brilliantly talented player, one of the most talented ive seen at NUFC. Having said that, given the way we play and his lack of availability, if we had a good offer that helped with FFP and we were able to invest in a quality replacement, Id be fine with him going. I dont want him replaced by Harvey Barnes though.

All seems to have gone fairly quiet at the minute. Hopefully working on something decent behind the scenes. Ideally were biding our time, for when clubs needing to sell get a bit twitchy.

40m for Fabinho man. Liverpool have been able to rebuild well.

Maddison you could argue but Digne and Lingard are both internationals with over 70 caps between them and a fair amount of European experience. Not sure why it hasnt gone well for Digne though. Glad we got neither. Its that elusive step up from a very good top half player, to very good asset in a CL chasing side. I'm not sure Maddison or Barnes will prove up to it either. Maddison perhaps, we'll see but I was never convinced he was right for us. So many factors in it, its why we see players we've seen do well elsewhere in the PL often flop at the likes of Man Utd, Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal when they get that move.

Jamal Lewis, how did I forget him. Hasn't played for two years yet seemingly content to sit on his arse and collect wages. Didn't he turn down loans despite not even being registered? Some commitment to not being the slightest bit arsed about his career going down the pan.

He's right in that this side doesnt have the depth to compete in both the PL and the CL like. There's no two ways about it. We were knackered last season without European football. We're going to have to pick and choose our games where the likes of Krafth () and Lascelles fill in. Injuries will take their toll too. Getting another midfielder was critical, we really need another right winger and a left back to make a decent go of it. Howe has a job on his hands. Was just looking through our squad and there's loads of shite. Manquillo, Hendrick, Fraser, Ritchie, Dummett, Krafth, Hayden all need gone and all will be on decent wages apart from Dummett. Fraser here for another two years and Hayden until 2026. Lumbered with them because there's no chance of them taking massive paycuts.

And yet, Wolves and Everton are unable to spend anything. Sheffield United are going to sell one of their best players and spend nothing. Luton wont have much spending power. Going to be poor down at the bottom.
