  1. Interesting final paragraph. "Cannot assure that the project will be eventually successfully launched"
  2. Liverpool releasing a statement quoting the words of Joel Glazer. Christ. The whole concept is farcical like. So, what happens if they do leave their domestic leagues? The same 20 teams play eachother every year, forever? There's no european competition because they wont be allowed, theres no domestic cup competition of any note because its just the same 20 teams. Sounds dull as fuck.
  3. We might end up finishing 13th on a higher points tally than last season. Bruce would be unbearable
  4. I agree, apart from I think Riviere was worse. Only slightly though.
  5. It's positive imo. I'd rather they fuck about in their own sanitised, plastic 'super league' than the CL become a more closed shop. If they leave the CL that's more chance of other English teams qualifying. Itd be better if they fucked off completely. They already have the pick of the players, it's already incredibly difficult to break into the top 6 and almost impossible to win the league. Hopefully they'll take PSG and Bayern with them and leave the actual competitive, knockout football to the rest of us.
  6. How long is arbitration likely to last? I've seen mentions of it taking a matter of weeks to two years. Is there a timescale or a deadline? Do both parties take months to prepare their cases and then it's heard over a set period of time? Will there be further hearings, appeals and the like? I'd be interested to hear how the whole thing is likely to work. The fact that they haven't even started the cunt, despite this being talked about for months on end doesn't bode well. Fucking stuck in pergatory man. It's the hope that keeps you going.
  7. He's a fucking cunt is what he is. Its not the content, but his delivery. Smarmy, vindictive and arrogant. The sooner he stops covering us, the better.
  8. Mike Ashley giving up the retail section of the club is odd like. Its about the only part of the football club he remotely enjoys. How significant it is, nobody knows really. I would have thought quite insignificant in the scheme of things and its Ashley trying to make any potential sale a little easier. Its a scrap of hope though.
  9. ASM was outrageous but Dubravka kept us in it. Weird that there was any doubt about him coming back in for Darlow, in hindsight. Thought Longstaff played well too, worked very hard. Jonjo Shelvey was his usual disgraceful self and the sooner he is shifted out to whatever mugs take him, the better.
  10. Blatant fucking pen. What's the fucking point in VAR if they won't overule a ref, or even have the fucking cunt go look at the screen. Unable to to implement the relatively simple concept of video assisted refereeing, what fucking hope have you got? May as well let the fat, bald fucking cunt officiate the game as he sees fit. Respect the ref blah blah blah, the PL is refereed by absolute useless, brain dead cunts beyond any sort of help. The sooner they get a robot on the pitch to do it, as opposed to these pricks, the better.
  11. Mind, I do think that if NUST were ever able to raise an amount needed to buy any percentage of the club, Mike Ashley would tell they to get to fuck out pure spite.
  12. Well on the whole, I think fan ownership whereby elected supporters, groups or trusts own part of a football club is the way it should be. I think its a good thing because I would back an elected group to supporters to make decisions in the best interests of the supporters and football club more than I would some random businessman. I dont think NUST would claim to speak for all fans, just their members but if in a hypothetical situation they did own, say 20% of the club and were influential enough to have a say in matters, they could have an elected board to make decisions on behalf of the trust members. They could put large decisions to ballots I guess too. There'd be plenty of slagging, politics and disagreements no doubt but I think democratic decision making would prevail. Its a million miles away obviously and I hope it never comes to that as it'll probably mean we'll have been relegated twice over but it would mean that in a round about way I could have my views represented and with the use of a vote I could have a say in the decision making process at board level, even if it is miniscule like it is when you pop your ballot in the box to vote for your local MP. Part fan/supporter group ownership the same reason I believe in parliamentary democracy (in theory) and trade unionism.
  13. As if 1% is the be and end all. If the fans own even 1% of the club, then it's a great achievement, but who says it has to stop there? Newcastle United is going to be around a long time and not necessarily as an overvalued PL club. The fans owning any percentage, however long it takes is a good thing.
  14. Yet somehow they've fluked out with a new, wealthy owner. Makes you sick.
  15. Whats wrong with Ian Mearns out of interest? Sat behind him in the Gallowgate for a season, used to do that mad loud whistle whenever we used to get a corner. Got about 4 in a row once, thought he was going to keel owa.
  16. I'd agree if it hadnt already been delayed a year but Im not sure else when it could be played. Next summer before a World Cup a few months later, or the summer of 2023 crammed between aforementioned World Cup and Euro 2024. Any other time but now and it would lose that feel of importance that a two year wait for an international tournament brings. It wont have the feel of the Euros, and itll be totally lackluster in terms of atmosphere but I'm still massively looking forward to it. A welcome break from the direness of watching Newcastle, the chance to actually watch football with people and dare I say it in a public social setting. Itll be massively welcome come June when we're finally dropping any social distancing restrictions and itll go things feeling normal again imo.
  17. Its a good idea. Its ambitious and a long shot but there is room for part fan ownership in football, without doubt. A quick glance at twitter and its a "waste of time", "impossible", "pissing your hard earned away". No doubt the same cunts that refuse to back any boycott or protest and happily donate a more substantial amount to Mike Ashley every other week. And there in lies the problem. Good on the NUST for giving it a go imo.
  18. This is my problem with xG. I understand it as a metric to predict games on a more individual basis, but stuff like this makes it look like a load of nonesense. Burnley are a far more effective team than both us and Fulham. Everton might not be as good as their position suggests but worse than us and Fulham? Really? Theres a reason why Fulham are below us despite us being absolutely rancid. They're not very good. They might well stay up, but it'll be largely down to our inability to win games of football. Having them sat 14th in a table that's supposed to measure how good a team actually is just seems flat out disingenuous.
  19. Also, who the fuck is listening to all these NUFC related podcasts like? Theres a million of them like. How are they getting any listens? Who even wants to hear about Newcastle at the minute?
  20. I think Wraith is a self promoting, obnoxious, disingenuous cunt only interested in promoting Steve Wraith. I think that Tommy Robinson has views I completely disagree with, is an out and out grifter, who presents a distorted reality as fact. However, I think Wraith has every right to interview him, even if it is a poor moral decision by a morally bankrupt bloke. Robinson has addressed the Oxford Union, he's been interviewed on the BBC, he's been interviewed in the national press. Louis Theroux can interview Nazi's, theres documentaries about people about people who believe all kinds of crazy shit, True Geordie sat down with David Icke ffs. Why shouldn't Steve Wraith be allowed to attempt to interview Robinson? I wont watch it, because Steve Wraith is far too thick to have the nuance and ability to make it a worthwhile interview and instead will just let him talk unchallenged, but I do think Wraith can interview whoever he wants. People can choose whether to watch his shit, and after this, hopefully they dont.
