  1. Well he shouldn't have moved to the North East then.
  2. Really good day yesterday mainly for a double for Rosenberg BTTS/Stabaek double chance. £40 at just over 5/1. Time to lose some of it today.
  3. if I'm still on late shift in a month's time then the kick off times for the Copa America work out excellently. Expecting an Argie/Brazil final, if that's possible.
  4. Flip, for balance, tuned into Internacional v Atletico Miniero tonight, and it's been a cracking game. Could easily have been more goals than the 4 we've seen, including strikes for familiar faces Lopez and D'Alessandro.
  5. Neesy, you need to assert your control over the Reds. An honest bunch, open to bribery by Haribos and willing to embrace the beautiful game. Beautiful 60 yard diagonals to somewhere near where Heza is.
  6. Monk is doing a cracking job, especiially given Bony decided to not give a shit about his club career.
  7. Is this going to be one of those VI "I'm getting hammered" moments?
  8. I agree, but I think to get so much fortune in one game is pretty remarkable. You make your own luck, yes, but not quite to this extent.
  9. Admittedly we've got nowt to play for, but this was similar to the game last year vs Sunderland. They really are an incredibly lucky team.
  10. In all seriousness gutted I can't be there, it'll be mint as usual no doubt. Hopefully won't be long til the next one. For anyone who hasn't been to a N-O meet up, honestly the soundest group of people you could imagine meeting. Except Yorkie, of course.
  11. Neesy, I'll be sending you a tactical dossier promptly. Also sending you on a management seminar. We want 7.
  12. I find the two interchangeable.
  13. Open question - why is Brazilian domestic football so terrible? Thought I'd see what Sao Paulo v Cruzeiro in the Libertadores had to offer and it's been utterly turgid. 2 of the much better teams in the country too. This isn't an anomaly either, must have watched a few dozen games between teams in Brazil in the past 12-18 months and the vast majority of them have more long balls in them than most Football League offerings, painfully slow build-up and finishing of an incomprehensibly bad level. Technical skill yes in terms of trickery and pace but even then, set pieces are quite often abysmal. The pitches are diabolical too. I can only assume there's a massive under-funding in domestic football, or at least its not going to the right people. But in terms of the style of play, why is it so negative? Sorry if that comes across as harsh Flip et al but it's just what I've seen. Alarmingly poor given Brazil's incredible footballing history. The crowds though make a brilliant noise despite debatable attendances, and in big games are deafening.
  14. Doing it on Barca-Bayern too.
  15. Come to think it though, you're lucky America technically are in this final.
  16. The days of me moving the MLS Thread to Chat are long behind us now, Mike.
  17. Am I weird for enjoying this? Been a great game, sounds like a mint atmosphere, and there's been some rather, err, industrial tackling.
