  1. Monk is doing a cracking job, especiially given Bony decided to not give a shit about his club career.
  2. Is this going to be one of those VI "I'm getting hammered" moments?
  3. I agree, but I think to get so much fortune in one game is pretty remarkable. You make your own luck, yes, but not quite to this extent.
  4. Admittedly we've got nowt to play for, but this was similar to the game last year vs Sunderland. They really are an incredibly lucky team.
  5. In all seriousness gutted I can't be there, it'll be mint as usual no doubt. Hopefully won't be long til the next one. For anyone who hasn't been to a N-O meet up, honestly the soundest group of people you could imagine meeting. Except Yorkie, of course.
  6. Neesy, I'll be sending you a tactical dossier promptly. Also sending you on a management seminar. We want 7.
  7. I find the two interchangeable.
  8. Open question - why is Brazilian domestic football so terrible? Thought I'd see what Sao Paulo v Cruzeiro in the Libertadores had to offer and it's been utterly turgid. 2 of the much better teams in the country too. This isn't an anomaly either, must have watched a few dozen games between teams in Brazil in the past 12-18 months and the vast majority of them have more long balls in them than most Football League offerings, painfully slow build-up and finishing of an incomprehensibly bad level. Technical skill yes in terms of trickery and pace but even then, set pieces are quite often abysmal. The pitches are diabolical too. I can only assume there's a massive under-funding in domestic football, or at least its not going to the right people. But in terms of the style of play, why is it so negative? Sorry if that comes across as harsh Flip et al but it's just what I've seen. Alarmingly poor given Brazil's incredible footballing history. The crowds though make a brilliant noise despite debatable attendances, and in big games are deafening.
  9. Doing it on Barca-Bayern too.
  10. Come to think it though, you're lucky America technically are in this final.
  11. The days of me moving the MLS Thread to Chat are long behind us now, Mike.
  12. Am I weird for enjoying this? Been a great game, sounds like a mint atmosphere, and there's been some rather, err, industrial tackling.
  13. Nigel Reo Coker at right back. Blimey.
  14. Watching Montreal Impact v Club America in the CONCACAF Champions League, Montreal looking to become the first non-Mexican team to win it. 1-1 in the Azteca and Montreal have taken an early lead here. Club America should be level after producing one of the worst misses I've seen in years. Been class. tl;dr - football across pond happening
  15. Who are? The fans? There are plenty of legitimate reasons to think Liverpool fans are cunts, but I'm not sure they have a direct say in ticket pricing.
  16. How do you always come so close with ridiculous odds accumulators? Don't get it. Unlucky not to win yet you're absurdly well above average with these long shots ones, always come close on 100/1 shots. Tell me how? Could do with knowing.
  17. That just serves to emphasise the obnoxious margins the bookies have. While they would never offer the 'true' cash out value, £12.75 isn't even remotely close to reasonable.
