  1. There were rumours that Amorim wanted Watkins.

I'm not sure who's worse, the folk who make up these rumours or anyone who takes them at face value.

King Ryder is on the money...

Howay Yorkie. Pointing the finger of blame due to a baseless rumour is peak NO.

I've heard he's not done his ACL.
  6. That'd be a decent amount of rotation while still having enough to win the game.
  7. He hot nailed in a tackle, his ankle got caught underneath him and it looked like it could have been a lot worse at the time.
  8. It's cool that we're not overreacting.
  9. I think his style is perfect for the way we play, arguably better suited than Isak when he first signed. He might just need a bit of time and patience to adjust from the Fraudesliga (see Wirtz). I genuinely believe Eddie could get a tune put of anyone given sufficient time on the training ground.

We don't have to turn it into more than it is. It's going to be a long gruelling season, with plenty of injuries along the way, having that quality depth is so important. Losing Ramsey and Wissa isn’t ideal, but neither are long term and we have plenty of decent options in their absence.
  12. At least Dave can enjoy the collective sighs when Woltemade misplaces his first pass.

At least we have a squad to deal with the odd knock these days.
  14. It's one medium term injury man.
  15. You make some fair points, but it's also a straw man. I said we still have plenty of scope to grow organically before we start pushing any boundaries, not that we'd reach number one by doing so.

Meh, not great, but should still have more than enough to beat Wolves.
  17. We seem to be well on the way with that.
  18. As for the ten year ambition stuff, personally I'm not too fussed. Fair enough if you want to hold the owners to that. They've put it out there, so it's on them to deliver. For me though, if we're sat in ten years with a couple more trophies, a few more European adventures and a new stadium in the works, I won't be sat tutting that we haven't won the league yet.
  19. I don't think we need to "push the line" at this point in our progress. There's still ample opportunity to grow organically before we hit a ceiling. As for the training ground, it's not really having a go at the owners to suggest it's s bit off that they wouldn't go all in for their preferred plot, for the second most important bit of infrastructure they'll build. Unless of course it's not as straightforward as that (most likely).
  20. Hope: "As for a new training ground, an offer did go in on one site this year but the price for the land became too high and Newcastle walked away. They are now looking at two other sites, including land near Gosforth Park and Ponteland." Surely we can afford to pay whatever we need to?
