"A major battle is underway for Nigerian wonderkid Zadok Yohanna, with Premier League giants Newcastle United making a huge move to secure the signature of the AIK sensation. Sources close to the negotiations reveal that Newcastle have submitted a package worth up to €30 million, consisting of €25 million guaranteed plus a further €5 million in performance-related bonuses. We can exclusively reveal that it’s more than what Brighton who were reported to be closing on his signing offered for his signature. Although they have already agreed personal terms. The offer is understood to be one of the biggest ever made for a player from the Swedish Allsvenskan and places Newcastle firmly at the front of the race for the 18-year-old winger. The development comes amid growing interest from several European heavyweights, including Real Madrid, Bundesliga clubs and top Ligue 1 sides, all of whom have been monitoring the rapid rise of the Nigerian star. Sources indicate that discussions between Newcastle and AIK have accelerated significantly in recent hours, with all parties working towards a potential agreement. There is growing belief that the deal could be concluded within the next 48 hours if negotiations continue to progress positively. With Newcastle now making a statement offer and other major clubs still closely following the situation, a transfer battle is reaching its decisive stage."

"Newcastle United has submitted a bid of €24 million euros, in a fixed transfer fee, with additional bonuses on top of that. Negotiations are in full swing between the parties. Brighton is very much in the picture and the race is described as wide open." No idea who the player or the journo are. Enjoy.

"Newcastle's offer to Osasuna is 35+5 (the release clause is 40). The offer to the player is very enticing and with a starring role following Gordon's departure. Real Madrid has no intention of buying him back. The next few days, key to sealing the deal." To be taken with the usual pinch of Spanish salt.

Romano mentioning us in bad faith, no way.

Would be looking at a short term fix? Sounds like a few clubs are taking on sponsorships for less cash this summer.
-
Good for Forest.
-
Makes sense though, we're not going to go into the season with four strikers on the books.

Assumed his contract expired this summer. Obviously not.

The gnocchi nonce using our name again. I'd be amazed if we're "breaking the bank" for anyone this summer.

The Howe discourse on social media is a absolutely wild. Reading NO, I think there's an appreciation last season's league campaign was disappointing. Most of the debate comes from whether we should stick or twist on the managerial front, and there is merit to both arguments. Having had the misfortune of being briefly on Twitter, Blue Sky and Reddit in recent days... Eddie and Andy Howe are poison. We can't get a front of short sponsor because they're frightened of "Howe out" commentary. Our best players want to leave because of Eddie Howe. No playes want to join because of Eddie Howe. Eddie Howe has ruined the entire project. Don't get me wrong, I know it's an asylum out there, but fucking hell man, go outside and touch grass. Praise Vishnu I'm off social media these days.

Ethan Nwaneri is apparently available.

I'd imagine the club will stick to the 70% threshold if it intends to regularly qualify for Europe. Agreed though, not really sure what to expect.
-
Wouldn't be suprised if it's the cases given we were calculated to be around 68% in SCR terms. Still, a good start with Ramsdale, Krafth, Trippier, Targett and Gordon on their way. Would be amazed if Willock is here come September too.

The best thing about the deal sheet is the weekly hysteria is prompts in online circles, despite never saying anything particularly new.

"Bournemouth winger Rayan has a release clause in his contract that will kick in from the January transfer window onwards — and The Athletic can reveal it will be £130m (€150m). However, the release clause will not be applicable this summer, just six months after he joined the club. It will be active from January, in the 2027 summer transfer window and beyond." Crickey.

Surely he'll get a ban?
