  1. We've not been terrible, but we've been wasteful when we've had the ball.
  2. We're clearly set up to sit in a block and hit them on the counter, but we've not looked very convincing.
  3. Looks like we're set up like we did v Spurs at SJP. Quite deep with two players high up the pitch at all times, usually Isak and Gordon.

Finger crossed it's just a knock.
  5. Completely agree with Baldwards, this is exactly the type of game we've struggled in this season. Everyone needs to be on it.
  6. At least with the current inconsistency you have an idea of how we'll play in the first ten minutes.
  7. A for me. He'd arguably get into any side in the league.
  8. It's a trade off and whether you think a higher percentage of correct decisions is worth the decline in experience as a football fan (re-refing borderline decisions, the length of time to make a decision, the lack of communication, etc). There isn't a right or wrong answer, but in my experience watching and supporting football, I don't think that it is.
  9. I understand the fairness element of it, but when VAR starts becoming involved in highly subjective decisions that aren't "clear and obvious" is that fair? Or is it an additional and unnecessary layer of officiating?
  10. I barely celebrate a goal now, it's always in the back of your mind that some dweeb in Stockley Park might chalk it off. The one time I got carried away was when Isak buried it v Arsenal in the Carabao Cup SF second leg
  11. NO's ability to take a game unrelated to NUFC and find things to be absolute fannies about is unmatched.
  12. I have no idea what I'd do with myself, its uncharted territory.
  13. As long as we beat Brighton and get Preston at home.
  14. It's shaping up to be a really open, competitive QF. Could use City going out sooner rather than later though.
  15. Probably, it just feels like Gordon and Murphy could use a rest.
  16. What we thinking line-up wise? Depending on fitness, I'd go: Pope Trippier Botman Burn Hall Tonali Miley Big Joe Osula Wilson Barnes
  17. Aye, he would suit out style really well too. Shame we have bigger priorities and he'll have more attractive suitors.
  18. As I recall, a minority of fans boycotted and protested to try and put pressure on Mike Ashley's ownership. They were largely sneered at and abused by others who were unwilling to sacrifice their ability to groan, sigh and generally get stuck into the lads every Saturday.
  19. Depends on what kind of side you have. If you play highly technical football with a traditional defensive mid he's probably a C. Stick him I'm a side that thrives on transitions and physicality and he's a B.
  20. Ah man, this isn't going to be a good watch if Anthony Taylor is ref. His games tend to become stop-start messes with loads of random cards.
  21. I'd wager Pope will start on Sunday. I think it was last week Eddie suggested he needs game time before the final.
  22. Can't see many upset in the FA Cup this weekend. Us and Man United are the favourites most at risk, but neither losing would really be an upset.
  23. It's billed as an FPL podcast, but the main chaps (James) analysis of games and wider issues in football is really good, they often have dedicated shows to the latter. Not a huge fan of his co-podcaster (Suj), but it's still worth a listen.
