Wor Flags: visit worflags.org.uk/donate to support future displays
The Prophet replied to wor jackie's topic in Football
Wor Flags are absolutely superb at capturing fan sentiment at a moment in time. Given the friendly fire at Man United, Palace, Man City and Wolves, perhaps a message of "we don't demand a club that wins, we demand a club that wins all of the time and in dominant fashion" would go down nicely and give the lads something to think about? -
Arsenal could do us a favour here.

Ultimately it's a results game. I love Eddie Howe, but PIF are ruthless and will have some serious questions if we limp out of the cup. The crowd are already turning and if he puts as much as a toe wrong tomorrow, we'll absolutely dial up the pressure.
-
I have legitimate concerns.
-
Exactly, it's also well established that Andy and Eddie Howe have absolutely no interest in shopping abroad and will happily pass up bargains like a £35 million one in four striker from the Brazilian league.
-
Concerning that City have only beaten us and Exeter this year.

The tagliatelle toucher?

"Part of Vasco's board believes that Newcastle will make a bid for Rayan as early as TODAY. If this bid arrives, the tendency is that the forward will not face Flamengo." We've been here before with Brazilian transfer links.
-
Absolutely no way City won't have their hooks remaining in Bobb's future in some form.
-
Some light relief for everyone... The extension of VAR's reach is up for debate this week.
-
I love Eddie, but I don't understand why so many are afraid to hear some home truths. PIF won't hold back at the end of the season, serious questions will be asked.
-
It's a very small sample size, but there seemed to be a noteable difference in the patterns of the full backs, in terms of their runs and general positioning. It looked like we were aiming for a 2-3-5, but we lacked the dynamism to do it a way that created overloads or overwhelmed the opposition defence.

Why aren't you allowed to have an opinion on here?

Watching a couple of recent games I thought I'd noticed green shoots, a recognised playing style when we have the ball, even if it is a work in progress. Then I gave my head a wobble. Putting aside preventing Bournemouth from going out of existence, getting them promoted four times, saving our own club from certain relegation, before turning us into a trophy winning, Champions League club, Howe has absolutely no experience of evolving and has earned neither our time nor patience. This is stubborn Eddie Howe who brought overpriced filth like Anthony Elanga and Jacob Ramsey to our club, no doubt without any form of planning. We should be looking to hire an elite manager like Unai Emery to take us to the next level.
-
Imagine if we hadn't chucked away leads v Spurs and Chelsea. That's what separates the elite from the hoi polloi.

After I stopped getting my NUFC news from the bloke at Grey's Monument who shouts at pigeons, I've found Capology is one of many sources that helps fill the void it left.

At the end of the day, it's really important to keep as many weapons in the armoury as possible. Howe is inflexible can be seamlessly flipped to Howe doesn't know how to manage three games a week. Similarly, with a slight shift of the goal posts, Howe doesn't rotate can become Howe is responsible for a disastrous summer. With an agenda, this stuff is absolutely key to scoring a lot of points, which is really all that matters.
-
If you can't beat them, join them.
-
Much like Woltamade, currently doesn't fit the system and can't possibly be coached. Sell.
-
Eddie isn't ruthless enough. I know he's got rid of plenty of first team players, but it's not like he's publicly slated any of them. Words are louder than actions and he needs to get stuck in.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

The best midfielder in the world right now? Bet he's gutted about leaving, hope Elanga let's him know how forgiving the fans are. -
Agreed. Hopefully he takes Pope, Botman, Joelinton, Willock, Ramsey, Elanga, Murphy, Osula, Wissa and Woltemade with him.
-
I've never watched up play, but he's exactly what we need.

Huge opportunity here, SJP needs to be a bear pit. Let's really rachet up the pressure on Eddie and the lads, let them know how awful we think they are from the first backwards pass.- 386 replies
