Joking aside he would have to be Top 5 at a bare minimum surely.
-
It does if people's lives are at risk, surely. Same goes for any other sport or events with large groups of spectators. Maybe we should wait for a more reliable source than a single tweet from a Scottish Tabloid before we get into this debate for 78th time.

Going to have to do it because of that clusterfuck 2022 World Cup timing next year, may as well have a dry run.
-
I'm sure PSG and Ajax will just be begging to play in this clusterfuck. And I take it this James Melville is just stating his opinon - doesn't appear to be someone who would get such an world first scoop.

Probably one of the reasons why they are so shit defensively. Great former player, but never coach/material. Didn’t Brice bring him to Villa It’s pointless sacking their manager now, I can’t see anyone coming in and keeping them up. Bruce bought him in as a player - put in a good shift for them in the Championship. Smith is the one who bought him back to coach as soon as Bruce got the sack.

Some sort of mini tournament splitting the league into two like the Scottish and Belgium do might be the goer if there is still time left in the season when the situation stabilises. The Top 8 all playing each other once, ditto with the bottom 6 from a sporting perspective would definitely add some spice to fixtures.

I'm tipping the UAE or one of the random oil rich ex Soviet countries that are suddenly hosting the Europa League Finals.
-
To early in the piece still for that sort of what-ifs - if they squandered all that in Game 37 of the Premier League and the semi final stages that's when they would've been kicking themselves.

You can still be a nice guy, but have the PFM mentality. Crouch after all made his career for 15 years as a tall white striker you just aimed long balls at, managed for the most of it by the likes of Pulis, Hughes and 'Arry.

The speed he takes off, you can tell Dier racing up there was the last thing he expected. Dier should get some sort of punishment deservedly, but much like the little scrote who provoked Cantona all those years ago, hopefully the fan get's his as well.

Exactly. It just sounds like ASM wanted to play but Bruce decided not to risk him. That's a scenario that gets played out every week at any professional football club. A disagreement is not the same as a 'fallout' which 'places the player's future in doubt'. Come on, guys, we know what journos do. You may not rate Bruce as a manager but I trust his word far more than the Daily Mail. Oh look, Ashley's little cuckboy suddenly pipes up. Any reason why you disappear for months at a time when it turns sour?

Wonder when Souness will start referring to him as a "thug" Or just cut to the chase and start talking about phrenology and the traits of the negro skull shape.

His pet gimp Edwards has suddenly acknowledged shit team results, but has started to shift blame to Nickson and the recruitment, having a go at Saint Maximin in particular as well as Joelinton and Almiron. As if this isn't co-ordinated to save his skin. Look for other hints about Saint Maximins "attitude" and "effort" to suddenly crop up amongst his trained monkeys with typewriters over the next couple of weeks.

He's lucky to be fed 2 or 3 good chances from the team in a month.

Can't wait for Luke Edwards to tease a hilarious anecdote about Steve Bruce and biscuits like his side splitting bacon sandwich story.
-
If Leganes had chosen to flog him off I'd see where the authorities were coming from, but Barca activated a release clause and they were powerless to stop it.
-
Didn’t watch but I’d be amazed if it’s not immaterial. Set up nicely though. Lyon do pretty well against good teams in Europe generally. Will that game even be in Turin with the coronavirus I wonder Guessing they'll just do what they've done for the upcoming domestic games and play it in an empty stadium.

Newcastle United v Burnley - Sat 29/02 @ 3:00pm (No TV)

Don't be silly, of course there will be training. Bruce has the assistants measuring out a 5km run as we speak. -
General release clauses in Spain are mandatory by law though - hence the reason even the likes of Messi and Ronaldo had them, just set at laughably high amounts (although Barcelona learnt the hard way with Neymar that what might seem to be a "safe" figure to set it at presently can quickly change)
-
'never did me any harm' Okay, we should ignore the experts then. Let them play with fire as well, because I was never burned. The social media ramblings of the sort of people who post that generally says otherwise
-
It's all about spinning the narrative - story needs to be shifted from Geordie Brewce taking over Rafa's stagnant, boring team and swashbuckling up the Premier League to Bruce inheriting a disaster of a club in free fall and bravely keeping them up against all odds.

I love the bit where he again tries to be the cool, collected calm voice of reason just trying to have a pint with his mates. He spent that entire night arguing with people on Twitter. Probably had a 4 pack of cheap, weak lager before retiring to his bedroom for a furious session with a pillow taped to a printed photo of Bruce's head.
-
Especially how he slobbers over him in the press. He has defended every single decision made by Charnley and Ashley, even claiming credit for many of them.
