Great question and a very good one. Alderweireld £10m Van Dijk £5m Vertonghen £10m Debuchy £10m Sissoko £1.5m Cabaye £0 Pepe £8m Aubameyang £20m Lacazette £20m So good it wouldn’t even need a keeper or a left wing back I still remember those Van Dijk links/articles from his Groningen days That team would be worth about £400million now. Allegedly wanted Varane and Shaw as well back before they really broke into the Lens and Southampton teams. Swear he was tracking Dele Ali for seemingly forever before the Spurs swooped in. I'm certain the whole McClaren/2015 relegation disaster was Ashley getting greedy and realising he had fucked up when all those recommendations that were ignored started transferring to large European clubs at 20-30m a pop. So he decided to give him full control and let him spend all of those hoarded transfer funds. Naturally it was too little, too late and it blew up in his fat face .
  2. Behind Lippi, but not a bad two man list to be on Who are the most high profile managers to manage there Lippi, Pellegrini, Sven any others? Capello and Scolari. They do love a good geriatric manager from the 90s
  3. Behind Lippi, but not a bad two man list to be on
  4. Watching my Sister. Not much else in Sunderland to do is there.
  5. Why is going to Celtic somehow better? You could parachute Pardew into that job and they'd likely still be a solid bet to win the Domestic Treble for the fourth straight year. His season at Celtic would consist of 12 games - navigating the Champions League qualifiers and trying not to get pasted in the Group Stages, he would pretty much be taking November to July off every year while they stomped through Motherwell and Ross County. At least with this China job he has the stimulation of taking over a mid table team that is 22 points behind the leaders while he bides his time for something more interesting in Europe. On a side note can we get "And after three years they painted the walls" stuck on banner outside the ground next time the bed sheets come out? That even tops some of the quotes that came out of the Keegan saga.
  6. Isn't the first good (or better) manager to fail in Turkey, won't be the last either.
  7. “Rafa wanted a ridiculous transfer budget, why should any owner bow to that?” While spitting venom in the next segment that Manchester United won't spend 300 million for Ole Solskjaer.
  8. As if Carver thinks he made even a single mistake. His official Linkedin claims he saved us from relegation
  9. Would there be any real beef between Arsenal and Newcastle fans? Can't think of any major flashpoints in the past. If anything, Arsenal hate the American wanker they have in charge as well, you could potentially do a joint event and support from their fans as well.
  10. I'd happily chip in for a box of cigars whenever Ashley and Barton have a face to face meeting about the transfer budget
  11. It’s entirely believable tho. That’s the sad thing Is it hell man nobody would even think about making a bid if that was the case. BZG stated they had agreed terms and there's not a chance that would be the case if the £111 million debt to Ashley was included As if Ashley would tell them all the hidden clauses up front. What a £111 million pound hidden clause 12 years of Ashley and you’ve learned nothing. The takeover will collapse and it won’t be BZG’s fault Where is your proof of this £111 million clause then, BZG are an international company dealing with many multi-million pound deals and you're honestly saying they will be hoodwinked by a hidden clause Well for a start I didn’t say this was the case so I don’t need proof. All I said was it was believable as Ashley is a cunt and an idiot. Let’s not forget Ashley himself got stung with hidden debt coz he never bothered to do due dillegence. Than it wasn't hidden debt was it, something isn't hidden just because you didn't look for it.
  12. Like he did for west brom last season..... They were challenging for auto promotion for most of the season tbf, and I don't think they make the play-offs without his goals.
  13. Somewhere, Cronky just climaxed. Barlaser might be a bit to Turkish for an authentic PFM though.
  14. Shock, the man who's wallpaper is that photo of Mike Ashley dancing topless in a bar was upset that Rafa was saying mean things about the ownership
  15. Just reading back through the carnage, and have seen that Anthony Hudson is one of the big rumors. Fuck me dead, as a New Zealander he is probably the best manager we've had in my lifetime. On the flipside, that bar is very low and is set at "he never cost us a Confederations Cup spot or blew a World Cup qualification campaign by losing to Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands" like his predecessors. The rest of his CV consists of getting sacked by a Conference Team, a MLS team and Harry Redknapp saying some nice things about him a decade ago. Would rather Allardyce, at least we wouldn't be challenging the Derby 15 points record under him which, no hyperbole, I think Hudson would have us at.
  16. Dat twitter feed though... From a 35 year old man
  17. Why would Howe leave to come here? He's a club god and is allowed to blow 20 million a pop on Liverpool and Chelsea reserves
  18. Fuck me, choosing between Mike Ashley or Eddie McGuire. Would just give sports entirely and take up stamp collecting
  19. Roy Keane has flounced from every job going to war with the owners and bitching about his bosses and investment very publically. Don't think he's Ashleys type somehow. He is many things, but a puppet he ain't.
  20. I for one look forward to Pardew introducing some good ol' South London slang to the USA. I reckon "baller" will really take off over there once he drops it for the first time.
  21. Except he doesn't, our transfer activity proves that. They might not sign players he doesn't want, but they sure as f*** aren't signing his first choices either. He may never get his first choice but no player comes or goes without Rafa's approval. I think you really need to google the definition of "full control"
  22. Except he doesn't, our transfer activity proves that. They might not sign players he doesn't want, but they sure as fuck aren't signing his first choices either.
  23. They've been doing that for years - Llambias used it to try and spin the bullshit yarn that they actually spent the Carroll money.
  24. For a fire sale to occur, don't we need valuable assets first? Outside of maybe Perez, Almiron and Lascelles, who is going to bring in anything? We got this far by Rafa macguyvering a PL team out of lint and used coupons, not because of squad strength.
  25. I'm sure if it get's bad enough FIFA will magically just all of a sudden discover a pile of evidence of various Qatar bid wrong-doing, sacrifice a couple of middle tier execs and use it as an excuse. No doubt the bidding and hosting agreements contain clauses for the World Cup to be stripped in those circumstances.
