  1. It's 2019, why is someone taking a photo with a potato?
  2. The guys behind it are the definition of douche Silicon Valley tech bros, but if they can get the product half as good as what they currently produce for the USA sports market, it's worth the every cent. They were already producing some decent football content, but very top team centric - if anyone will do a good job shining the light on fatty, it's them.
  3. No no, you should listen to your elders more. Tony Green is my all-time favourite, with Gazza running him close. Len White was before my time. I've such high hopes of Longstaff. He doesn't seem to have a weakness in his all round game. Whatever the situation, however the ball comes to him, he can be trusted to do something with it. That's a priceless asset in a midfielder. I've seen good players go - Waddle, Beardsley, Gazza - but letting this lad go at this stage would be the biggest heartache. And yet, i'd bet my house you'd be on here justifying it within 30 minutes.
  4. By "learning new info" you've read the shit coming from Richard Keys and now Mike Ashley himself.. and decided to fucking fall for it? Jesus H Christ, give yourself an uppercut
  5. nee way is it anywhere near that. No doubt using the same Llambias trick of counting wages - same way he spun the Ba/Cabaye signings plus a bore hole into somehow us spending all the Carroll money.
  6. Gonna have to wait in line, Bruce has been hogging it during training sessions
  7. I think I might know who he is, from toontastic..... Who? My guess would've been Christmas Tree - nonce taxi driver who revels in being the "contrarian" and claims he doesn't support Ashley while defending every major decision. Although he has been too much of a coward to actually post in the football part of the site the past couple of years and sticks to polluting the general topic threads.
  8. I'm the last 2 seasons we've finished 13th and 10th in the premier league with players giving 100% giving everything for the club They deserve our support sUpPorT tHe tEaM nOt tHe rEiGiMe Imagine bragging about forking over thousands of pounds to Mike fucking Ashley and trying to act like you're not the moron here.
  9. Fair play He’ll have gone first class, not really a hardship Economy under Ashley. Definitely economy on a low cost carrier, might've been given a 5 pound meal voucher if he was lucky
  10. tbf - that is a clear violation of what is apparently a black and white rule so it's easy to crucify them for. What Fatty is doing is not technically violating any of their rules is it?
  11. Stuff that, even once he's gone, leave it in the title and sticky the thread so it's always here. Heck, carve it on his headstone.
  12. Chopra spelled it out succinctly what happens in event of genuine interest in buying the club... it is simply NOT for sale and Ashleys lawyer will be a c*** as soon as you show interest. I think we had that one worked out from this summer's events Just out of interest - what's the story with Chopra? Last time I heard his name mentioned was when he was missing open goals against us and dealing with gambling issues - now he is fronting Saudi consortiums to take over Newcastle United? Fair play to him.
  13. Why isn't it good for them? They can do both, hiring a new manager doesn't automatically free Bruce - they can both get a replacement in and stick Bruce in a gimp suit until Ashley ponies up. See Napoli last year where they hired Ancelotti but still held Sarri hostage until Chelsea paid the piper.
  14. "Hi this is Lee, I mean George from Durham here and I think Mike is a swell guy. Also, please leave the MD alone, I, errr, I mean him must be trying really, really hard" Either that or a fuming Cronky had to get on the blower to defend his Mike.
  15. Supporting 19 teams. Valid A brand new A-League club is being formed in my home town, starting in October. They have a few ex-Australia internationals and some hotshot kid from Holland. I'm abandoning my tepid support for Sydney FC and throwing myself into the green-and-black stripes (!) of Western United. Fuck the PL, fuck the Toon and hopefully hook into the A-League properly with my daughter. Gotta be a story here about how a Melbourne person ended up choosing Sydney FC over the two existing Melbourne clubs.
  16. I don’t think stock market rules would allow it if his financial results are due. There’s normally a closed period when financial results are imminent Wouldn't even make sense - surely if he is buying back, he would to do it post financial results which will be grim and reduce the price even further.
  17. Good, I see Bruce as a boring 6/10 manager. Great at a Championship level and will squeeze a couple of years of non-descript, boring safety on the Premier League before going down without a whimper. He could do a perfectly adequate job of meeting his mandate of finishing 14th and securing safety with a couple of games to go each season. We want someone who would have Celtic in a relegation scrap in the Scottish League after 18 months.
  18. Maybe his BBC contract doesn't let him go that far, while he can be a bit biased about us on MOTD, maybe it doesn't let him criticize Ashley or the club in as far as telling fans to boycott, no idea like just thinking out loud. Yeah, guessing he isn't allowed to get involved directly in things like this as the BBC can't have it misconstrued that he is acting on their behalf. Although, why he may be not out there torching Sports Direct stores, his twitter and public commentary on the situation is enough imo - it doesn't exactly take Sherlock Holmes to figure out his stance when he is posting laughing emojis at Ryder claiming that the Perez money is going straight back into new signings. He has also talked about Ashley sucking the life out of the club and what a tosser he is to work with multiple times.
  19. As if there will be one actual comment asked by a proper journalist they will all lick Bruce's arse and be fully onside. Will be lots of "up for the challenge" "know what football means to this area" "means so much to me" "I fully believe in myself" "will do everything to get it right" "club has everything to thrive" Get the Brucee bingo going. Someone on Twitter apparently already has. Might turn it into a drinking game, can't be any worse than watching this slow motion car crash sober.
  20. Yes, because he is going just burn down a 350 million + asset and send it down to the conference (the Premier and Football League wouldn't allow it to happen for a start) because fans on the internet call him naughty words. They wouldn't even let Hull add Tigers to their name - something that was already their nickname and has been on their logo for 70 years.
  21. Would never happen, but I would love nothing more than a journalist to ask Bruce during his introductory press conference how he feels about being offered the job after 5 other managers allegedly turned it down first.
  22. We've seen this dance before from Allardyce - this is how he negotiates. Wouldn't rule the prick out just yet.
  23. At first I was hoping Rafa would go Ham as soon as the clock struck midnight on the first of July, but I actually prefer this approach. Act magnanimous but constantly dropping reminders where appropriate about what a bunch of dumb pricks we have in charge. Stuff like the "after 3 years they painted the walls" and showing how random mid table clubs in China are better run is goooold.
  24. Played him once in the league and once in the cup across two seasons before loaning him out Obviously a big fan
  25. Surely you must know deep down inside what a fucking div you are when you have high profile members of the media - who is also the biggest club legend of the past 50 years - publicly mocking you.
