I don’t think he’ll ‘ruin’ anyone. He didn’t do Maguire & Robertson any harm for instance. If a player is good enough they can still shine through his shit. Maguire only broke into the team when Bruce packed the pip and bailed on the eve of the season after they were promoted - before that Bruce had him firmly on the bench even in the Championship.

Best part is reading his replies, he doesn't even go to the games himself because he "can't afford it" but calls out people for not spending hundreds on season tickets. Also thinks he can call himself a journalist because he just got a degree in journalism and writes for a blog. What a weapon.

Wonder if Mr Dell sat through this 3-0 pasting with 9 men this game and immediately sacked his financial advisors for pushing this deal.

Both teams trash in attack, but even worse in defence. I'm expecting a 1-1 draw and Luke Edwards to lecture fans on twitter that it tops Keegans 5-0 against Man Utd. -

1-0 down to a club in total meltdown with rows of empty seats right in the main camera angles visibility. -
read think someone said be careful on posting links from the althletic in their thread which is why no one will have posted it probs was a nice read Links are all good - after all, it drives people to the pay wall page to sign up, quotes seem ok as well, but I have personally seen them swing the hammer at other forums who post entire articles.

a lovely idea but in no way possible why in gods name would the likes of the glazers, the city owners or frankly any premier league or championship club owner ever agree to that, they ain't in it for the good of the game they're in it to profit from the premier league tv deal or soften the image of a country and they couldn't care less about the fans beyond their roles as customers Obviously you can't just force it, but you can find ways to facilitate that doesn't just descend into confiscations. Potentially mandate a the sale of minor stakes for fans in each club within x years, a proportion that slowly grows over time, as well as a "right of first refusal" for fan groups - if a team is up for sale and an offer is accepted, fan groups have first dibs to buy a stake pro rated at the purchase price if they can stump up the money.

I *believe* clubs can't just give money to other clubs to bail it out willy nilly - seen it mentioned a couple of times. But there would a million and one loopholes no doubt, buy the groundsmans rake for 100k.

Eh? Nah, you're alright. That would be UncleBingo Joeshinton already? You people are actually pathetic. Samt hing you did last season in Rondon's early games, and Ki as well. When will you learn? You're talking out of your arse son, I never said a word about Rondon or Ki, in fact I always said Rondon would be a good signing. Get your facts right. It's the same shortsighted and unintelligent mindset. He played very well today, not sure one performance makes him a £40M player though. Not sure why you requoted the bit about Rondon & Ki mind, considering you were talking out of your arse. Alright, alright. Was just being cheeky. No malice intended. I accept you didn't slate Rondon and Ki, that was more of a general comment. I have removed that bit just for you, in my original comment. You quoted it though, so alas I cannot help you there Fair enough fella. Was very impressed and surprised with how he played today, more than happy to be proved wrong here. Hopefully he can keep it up for his own good really. None of these guys deserve to have their careers ruined because of the awful owner and manager. Except the clogger hacks like Ritchie and Colback lining up on their knees hoping to get undeserved contract extension. Fuck them.

On a Sunday, where the temperature was between 27 and 29 degrees against a team wearing white. Luke Edwards after telling everyone dOnT oVeRrEaCt aFtEr 2 gAmEs is now posting vinegar strokes in tweet form.
-
Not a chance in hell - it took Everton 9 million pounds to lure him for half a seasons work, as if Mike meets that kind of asking price.
-
Imagine having that red sweaty smashed in face staring at you from above while banging away......fucks sake Luke Edwards just got all hot and flustered reading this post.

Never knew that. Who’s the land owner? Civil Service Sports Club. Be interesting to see what the terms of the lease are in regards to usage - does it have to be a training ground or is it some vague clause about having to be used for a NUFC related that is so loosely defined that as long as you stick a poster of Shearer on the wall, it would count.
-
I assume they paid him Premier League money to lure him and no one wants to match. At least he is working for it, unlike Rodwell.
-
Almiron was one of Rafa's actual picks. So the narrative on him will shift between "See, we did back Rafa with a record signing of a great, young star" and "Look at this chancer from the MLS Rafa wasted all that money on" where appropriate.
-
Why pay the pricks asking price and have to put up with lord knows what Rangers style clauses he has stuck into the clubs commercial contracts hobbling your revenue when you can buy a "lesser" club in a better state for cheaper and use the money saved to sink into transfers. Sports ownership is a small community, and word spreads. There is a reason why we have only really had chancers dating back to Barry Moat and people trying to cobble together consortiums seriously interested despite every major American NFL and NBA owner considering the Premier League.
-
think he's physically done, had plenty of years where he basically had no time off playing world cup, confederations cup copa americas etc. His playing style was never conducive for that workload or a long career either with maximum effort for 90 minutes a game 60 times a year and being the main offensive outlet for Arsenal. I thought Luis Suarez would suffer the same fate, but he had the luxury of being able to adapt in a dominant Barcelona side.
-
Seems like none of the nufc lot can afford sunglasses. If they dress to nicely, Mike assumes he is paying them too much and threatens to chuck the lot onto zero hour contracts.
-
Oh look, another dormant account that hasn't posted in a decade suddenly piping up, supporting Mike Ashley. What a shock.
-
4-4-2 football played by proper patriots incoming. Look forward to Bruce unleashing the Carroll/Gayle big man, small man partnership on those fancy forrins in the Premier League. Brings a tear to the eye.
-
Wut He laid into Ashley and the club for 2 minutes in the Arsenal game preview, pointed out that we hadn't really spent Jack this season and the previous decade and reminded everyone of how he got jerked around during his short stint
-
Of course not, for all the deserved shit aimed at Pulis and his gang of street fighters, you have to give credit that the teams were sticking to a well drilled plan that was executed as designed. Bruce doesn't even do that, just tosses a ball onto the paddock and tells them to have at it. Wouldn't surprise me if he sticks mostly to his office like Kinnear apparently did during his post Keegan stint.
-
I don't know, Luke Edwards seems very thin skinned enough about his old pal Brucie to do that. He has been lashing out on twitter for a month at random fans and hasn't tweeted about us since Rafa put his missive out in the Athletic. I'd say 50/50 odds between Wraith being full of shit and Edwards begging journalists to go easy on his beloved.

Good piece but I dont think its a big mystery whats going on. To me there seem to be to types here. 1) The obvious trolls like Richard Keys or Talksport who just try to make ludicrous claims to get a reaction/clicks/views/callers what ever. 2) The ones who have it in their best interest to keep a steady interest in every day events at the football club for business reasons. Who's fit for Saturday, what did Jonjo eat for breakfast today etc. These are the ones who tow the "lets move on and focus on football" line like the local papers. The whole of Newcastle boycotting the football club isnt good business for anyone in the media. Do agree but I think there's a 3rd type personally - people within the football media who have always hated Newcastle, who begrudged us having one of the best teams around in the 90s and 00s, who are delighted to see us back "in our place" now and therefore talk Ashley up or play his disastrous ownership down at every opportunity. They want us to fail and Ashley is the perfect man to facilitate that. There is also the 4th - those who are either on or were on the payroll and have some sort of partnership with Fatty. Dennis Wise and Rio being the main examples, but no doubt there is more.
