  1. Not a good as club as us. Jury is still out on both keepers, the only certainty is Harper is past it. True, but I think with Krul having the shirt already, and recently being capped, as well as being at a similar level if not better than Forster, it would be terrible man-management to drop him. It doesn't have to be like that though, Krul would be no1 and it's up to Forster to take it off him. You give him the cups, and some home games, give him chances to prove himself and eventually one will pull away, like it did with harper and given.
  2. Probably wouldn't notice any change in abuse.
  3. English rolled into Scotland in horses, the Japanese rolled into Korea in tanks. Sure, after 400 years there was a "political" union, but generally when your charge of a place for a dozen human lifespans, you can generally do whatever you want. If Japan had held onto Korea for a couple of centuries, i'm sure we would've eventually seen an fully entrenched United Kingdom of the Far East, maybe with your very own Princess Diana.
  4. i think his point is that geographically scotland can never be separate from england, that is not the case with korean & japan is it? anyway, i'd rebuild the wall myself, let them be independent behind it Doesn't mean they can't be two different nations full of two different distinct sets of people. Geographically all of mainland Europe can never be seperate, but you sure as hell wouldn't want to try and combine France and Germany... (well, at least the French wouldn't try )
  5. Eh? Scottish people are British people, right? Wrong? Have you ever watched Braveheart? I know the history you nonce. They're still British. It also seems kind of pointless for the Koreans to have hated the Japanese Nation they were part of as well. Koreans are Asian people right?
  6. Aye and hes done a cracking job upto now tbf, wonder if hes still got Benzema's number in his mobile Wasn't one of the reasons he left Lyon was because him and Benzema had beef? Probably best Ben Arfa sat that particular recruiting trip out.
  7. No doubt Becks will be involved in some capacity. I've never got the fuss about not fielding a GB team in football. I don't think NI, Wales and Scotland will lose their identity, after the olympics back to normal. I'm Welsh and I have no objection to this I know people at the FA have fears about a GB team. Rugby actually embrace the concept, I love the Lions Tours. You can have 3 over 23's in the squad can't you? So that's Beckham and two other spots.
  8. That's nothing new He could've still had Jose in charge if he hadn't spunked 30 million on a 31 year old Shevchenko and hired Avram Grant (lulz) to be DOF behind his back.
  9. Didnt you say that Valencia couldnt afford him yesterday? Find where I said that. Good luck. That isn't saying Valencia can't afford him, just that Valencia don't want to pay the price.
  10. Disgusting behavior by Mourinho. Look what he made Busquets do.
  11. I don't get all this Villa Baos talk, he had a front row seat to watch the drama unfold when Mourinho was forced out, why would he put himself through the same shit?
  12. But imagine how good that 8 million will look on the balance sheet. :fwap:
  13. i've thougfht that of many managers, mourinho especially Mourinho did a terrific job with a Porto team that were decent but a million miles from the best in Europe. You just have to look at Inter's capitulation this season to see how well he did there, too. Guy has very little to prove. He also took some no name Portuguese Club to their highest league finish in their history and spent a decade before that as an assistant manager for SBR and Van Gael. His career is probably the best example of doing it "the proper way". Learn as an assistant from the best, before earning jobs at bigger and bigger clubs based on your results. well according to wiki he took over leira in april (season finished in may) so could he really take the plaudits ? then took over at porto who had previously finished runners up and won the poorest champs league in living memory in his time there and since then has been at either the clubs with most to spend, already fantastic players or very close to that. no doubting he's a good manager but don't try and make out he's a genius, he's no clough, hitzfeld or shankly or robson for that matter. forget the idea ofhis learning at a smaller club, his club was in the top half of the top division.

  15. He finished 2nd in the league with a team that finished.... 2nd the year before. Why haven't we built him a statue yet?
  16. And losing 4-0 to a team 2 divisions below isn't disgraceful? I'd personally consider that more disgraceful then only being on 83 points after 35 games.
  17. The results show they won the Copa Del Rey (last time I checked that is considered a better result then crashing out in the 4th round) and reached the Semi Finals of the Champions League (once again, unless definitions have changed, a better result then the Round of 16) and will finish Runner Up (Finishing 2nd is a worse result then finishing... 2nd?)
  18. worse how? less point in the league maybe but the beat barca in the cup and have got under their skin at times in the CL Clueless. Absolutely brainless. So it's clueless to think finishing the same position in the league, but actually winning the Copa Del Rey against Barcelona (instead of you know... losing 4-0 to a third tier team in their opening round) and reaching the Semi Finals of the Champions League (instead of losing in the the round of 16... for the 5th year in the row) is somehow making a team worse.
  19. Of course they are and I wouldnt dream of "judging" anyone for giving their money to Plymouth Argyle. I would however suggest that the donating £10 in reality wont help keep them afloat and will go directly to creditors whereas £10 to Africa etc. will positively contribute towards buying a textbook for a school, digging a well etc. I think if people respect them for their actions when we won the league and want to help them from a footballing perspective, their donation would be a lot more beneficial if they were to purchase, for example, an "AFC Plymouth" shirt to help them set up their new club if such a hypothetical opportunity were to materialise. Fair play to anyone who does donate obviously although I'd imagine it would be a waste. Awww, bless your little heart, you actually believe that. How adorable.
  20. That Porto team was a team he built, and it only became half the Portuguese national side when he came along. Deco was an average player until Mourinho came onto the scene. (7 league goals in 3 seasons before scoring 13 in Jose's first season alone), Ferreira, Derlei, Mendes and Valente were all signed from mid table Portuguese clubs, Carvalho was third choice and had spent the past two seasons on loan (and had only made a a single league game for Porto) and his Captain Costa had to be recalled from loan. Alberto, Maniche and McCarthy were all signed by him as well. All those players were no names or names only in Portugal.
  21. I agree with this. Although managing a club with lots of good players isn't really as easy as it's made out to be, a team still has to be moulded with lots of big egos and he does it every time. I'd actually love to see Mourinho go to a smaller club with more limited personnel and budget. He's already proven he can do it all with the pressure of a big club, should challenge himself. Like say... challenging himself to win the UEFA Cup and Champions League with Porto?
  22. The fact that people with no connection to Barcelona have became "fans" makes it somewhat amusing when their whole sense of reality is shattered. Yep they're a fucking fantastic team but some people make them out to be invincibles! Good that myth is now shattered You'd think getting blown off the park 3-1, then needing 70 minutes to score a goal at home against 10 men in the Semi Final against Inter last year would've shattered that.
  23. lol. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/champions-league/7646491/Barcelona-v-Inter-Milan-as-it-happened.html Barcelona watered the pitch last year more then usual last year, no doubt they are scum too right... And by watering the pitch more then usual, I don't just mean when they turned on the sprinklers on the Inter players after they lost .. but yeah, Jose is the scumbag.
  24. Can someone explain to me how the team with the second least amount of yellow/red cards in the league can be bottom of a "fair play" table while the team with the most is second and will get the European Spot? Hopefully in the final game of the season if we are safe we go on a yellow card spree just to push England out of the Top 3 and fuck them over.
