  3. There's 15 ex-USSR countries and 5 ex-Yugoslavia. So 20 or 21 if you stretch to include Kosovo. Who's the other?

  5. Its a quote worthy of wiping out any positive opinion on a manager like.
  6. I remember Zahavi at Palermo. I'm stunned he has that record since leaving. He never pulled up any trees whatsoever.
  7. Fergie was the master at buying the right players, building and recycling teams over and over. Thats what makes the load of shite he left behind all the more baffling.
  8. Smalling was torn to shreds by Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace a few weeks ago. I'm not looking forward to watching the dopey twat over the next few weeks. The fact he's the best of the bunch says a lot. Fact is none of the otjers are still there. All were purchased for, or trusted in, to be long term pieces of a club that has dominated English football and none of them were good enough for that. Which has resulted in a desperate and slapdash rebuilding process.
  9. It started when he replaced Cristiano Ronaldo with Valencia and Owen, but the attempt at leaving a core of young purchased and homegrown players behind was absolutely laughable. Jones, Smalling, Young, Cleverley, Evans, Anderson, Rafael, Welbeck, Zaha, Powell. All of which are either shite or have now left. The best of the lot, the player now on the market for 100 million, they let go for nowt. Simply the actions of a man either losing the plot or deliberately destroying the club. The transfers since then have been expensive, desperate and lacking in direction or identity. But it's happened about because of the shite that needed replacing ASAP.
  10. Fergie's last few years of transfers were absolutely abysmal, to the point where you start thinking he's done it deliberately so it all falls apart after he left.
  11. Nice article on Iceland. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jun/08/iceland-stunning-rise-euro-2016-gylfi-sigurdsson-lars-lagerback This bit
  12. Sissoko is shite, a cunt, and it would be awesome if both of his legs fell off at the Euros.
  13. I missed Blaszczykowski, Dzudszak and Jan Durica.

  15. I actually literally just youtubed him for the first time right now, but OK.
  16. Emre Mor is signing for Dortmund. Kid is a fantastic ball hog. Worth a Youtube watch.
  17. howay His mother is a Turkish Cypriot (which enabled him to join the Turkish national team), and his father is of Antiguan descent.[2] "It's difficult because half my family is Muslim, and the other half is Christian. I've always felt Turkish, though." He lived in London ages 0-20, has a British passport and speaks with a broad London twang. If that doesn't make him English then I don't know what does.
  18. Having somebody who can lead the line with aggression and mobility will make a huge difference to them over fucking Giroud.
  19. Always funny the way people think this 10 year testimonial thing is written into the laws of the land.
  20. Just the six managers for Mersin İdmanyurdu this season. They make Palermo and Zamparini look patient.
  21. Honestly Sturridge is probably England's most naturally talented player. Nobody else in the squad can score a goal like the one he scored in the EL final. It's absolutely the right decision to gamble on taking him. Certainly over the likes of Carroll and Defoe.
  22. Yeah it's Suarez by a mile tbh.
