  1. Our strikers should have fun against that defence. The CSKA trio were slow 10 years ago. Neustadter is an interesting ringer to be drafted in. Doesn't even have a Russian passport (yet).
  2. Villa v Chelsea and Middlesboro v Chelsea were miles worse than this like. Obviously this is still terrible. Including the Champions League etc, then Man United v Chelsea was terrible too. In summary; Chelsea. You've overlooked the 2007 cup final, Chelsea vs Man Utd. That was really dreadful.
  3. 2007 final was maybe as bad. But the quality was far better. This football is dreadful.
  4. "Not the scenes we want to see" Yes it fucking is!
  5. Leeds, Scunthorpe, Newcastle, Sheffield, Carlisle or any of the other teams named united? Which one?? The one universally known as United. Get over it. Nah, not having that you dog end, not on a Newcastle united forum. Why pick out United then? Should have questioned Real and said "Betis? Madrid? Zaragoza? Santander?" United = Manchester United. Newcastle = Newcastle United. Because you're not on a Betis, Zaragoza or Racing forum. You're welcome to fuck off to any of them though if you fancy.
  6. You'd be absolutely sick as a chip if you were a Real Betis fan.
  7. Interesting that "top 20 in the world" Juan Mata (according to Froggy) can't make a 23 man Spanish squad.
  8. Is this Morgan thing a pisstake because of Redknapp's comments or serious?
  9. He was also our best player in qualifying. I don't get why everybody is obsessed with players needing to fulfill some kind of quota of games and performances in the run up to a tournament. The league season isn't like an audition. Yes pick players who are in form, absolutely, but you also need to pick quality. You don't take a load of jobbers ahead of more talented players just because they've done OK for mid table club x.
  10. Good selection imo. Can't see any glaring omissions.
  11. He's a shitty one paced lump but so was Carroll when we went down. A season in the Championship could see him become something. There's some raw attributes there.
  12. Kaiserslautern won another title and cups in the 1990s before their 1998 win. Yes it came straight after promotion, but I still think that fact puts it a way behind.
  13. This is the sport with the biggest participation rate on the planet, and the most watched professional sports league globally, where arguably the biggest collection of the best of those participants are located. Take that context, then add the fact that the economic inequalities are enormous, and the format (38 matches home and away) to create such a statistical unlikelihood that a team can be 5000/1 to win before a ball has been kicked. I'd love to hear of another sporting upset that comes anywhere close in terms of combining unlikelihood and global significance. Mentioning baseball or tennis is frankly a bit of a joke. Or one-off boxing matches FFS.
  14. Don't know whats funny about that statement.
  15. The three players that have all but won Leicester the league absolutely haven't played top level football most of their careers Exactly
  16. Mahrez from Le Havre in Ligue 2 and Kante from Caen in Ligue 1. A long with Vardy (signed from a Conference team) their 3 best players this season. Proof you shouldn't rule out signing players from anywhere.
  17. Leicester are about to win the league thanks largely to two players signed from Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. We just need to stop signing shite.
  18. This fucker should be the death knell for Graham Carr like. Hopefully we stay up and can just put the entire club in Rafa's hands.

  20. Yeah, week-by-week. Don't think I'll be finding it tbh. Thanks, stattos the best I've got so far , I can get it week by week with a bit of tinkering but not in any downloadable format as far as I can see http://www.football-lineups.com/ Is OK for line-ups and injuries, if a little fugly. Again you're gonna need to do it match by match though.
  21. Makes a change from embarrassing renditions of the same tune about structural unemployment.
