Matt Ritchie (now Technical Director at Bournemouth)
ponsaelius replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
Nope he wasn't included in the squad. The club grown rules meant we could only name 23 - so Ritchie and Manquillo were left out. -
The bottom 3 are so bad this year.

Big Geordie in this thread is better than livescore.

Knee injury after having one in pre-season. Talented player who I was looking forward to seeing in the PL.

League Two Swindon losing 0-8 to NL Aldershot is wild. Edit: been revised back down to 7.

Excellent to see Murphy and Miley back. -
Shame for Alex Scott if that's serious mind.
-
No world-beater but strong physically, eye for a goal, doesn't get many injuries and very coachable. Wouldn't have been an exciting signing and would have been an overpay but he'd have definitely done well in a Howe team and can see why there was genuine interest.

I know a lad who supported MUFC right up to his early 20s who I spied selling NUFC home and away tickets he couldn't make last season.

So the club have actually hired WAXXA full time. That's a cracking move. -
Winks and KDH have looked like Xavi and Iniesta in that league this season
-
Aye I was going to mention him. Only thing is I'm convinced we'd be looking at a right footer rather than left.
-
For Neves I think you'd do a loan with a small fee with a buy option in the summer. In that context I honestly don't see how it can be disputed if we're paying his wages. It's no different in reality to another signing where player is signed for big fee but becomes unsettled and ends up leaving in such a way. It's going to be a common story with a lot of Saudi League players anyway. We might as well get involved just like we did in selling Maxi.
-
The Neves thing would be a bit rank but if it's a case of a signing like that or nothing then get it done.
-
That's pretty great news if he isn't out for a long time. If we could have him and Isak back after the internationals it gives us a lot more breathing room in forward areas.

Paully D masterclass incoming -
He'd have needed to seriously up his defensive work IMO. Villa accommodate him up front in a two with a solid midfield four which lets him get away with a hell of a lot out of possession. That's very different to playing out wide in our system. I can see why Howe apparently had apprehension - although to be honest I don't think Barnes is the best out of possession either. He's a perfect fit for Villa mind. Emery is no mug with his signings (except for Tielemans, who looks a terrible fit).

That would have been the logical selection (and some score apps have it that way) but I don't think it actually was. Targett was definitely in CM when we kicked off with Hall at LB.
-
Imagine if Krafth had buried that chance man
-
Still a bit unrefined but his distribution is absolutely superb at times.
-
That run man. Some of Hall's distribution has been superb as well.

Jesus wept. Done with this season now like

LCR4: Manchester United vs. Newcastle United - 01/11/23 @ 20:15 (Sky Sports)

Straight to pennos isn't it? Even with a shite team it's possible to get through as these LC games are always weird. -
Whey exactly. Filling an empty seat on general sale at a club's home game is quite clearly very different to a very limited supply of away end tickets being farmed off at a corporate level to randoms.
