Even with ten men?
-
The goal wasn't really after countless attacks. After the goal they were the better team for the rest of the half but before the goal we were the better and its hardly crazy to say we were dominant.
-
Why sell him? Like someone said before, we need a bloody squad, we can't just sell every player when he falls out of favour.
-
Are Xavi and Alves being rested or injured?
-
Ah, hopefully the official site will be updated shortly...
-
Yeah sorry, meant the U18s. Did you go Chris?
-
Won 2-1 today, anyone know the scorers?
-
Hopefully! (well bad that Barton is injured but good that Routledge is back)

Most strikers look pretty s*** when they play on the wing tbf to him. Strange move from Coyle, especially when C.Y. Lee was on the bench. Doesn't really excuse his finishing though.
-
Then I guess you haven't seen him play when he was in NUFC? Leeds sold Ferdinand with a smile on their faces because they knew Woody was better. Too bad he's crippled. He would have kept either Ferdinand or Terry out of the national team. They knew Woody was better yet sold him 6 months after Ferdinand for a third of the price. They didn't have much of a choice did they?

So have many players, you need more composure and more confidence at the top level. Agreed. It's unwise to throw him into the lions right now. If he starts, and doesn't score, that will both hurt him and the team. It will affect his confidence. He needs to build his confidence in Championship first, like Carroll, before he's allowed to start games in PL It's his roughness that result in his impacts when he comes on. At that point the opponent's defenders are feeling the fatigue, while Ranger is fresh and ready. If Ranger starts a game, his fatigue will correlate with the opponent's defenders. Thus he doesn't get his advantage of having more energy. Case in point the Fulham came where he had 80minutes or so and wasn't nearly as effective. Fulham was a poor team perfomance so I'd be reluctant to use that as an example. He's never been given a run in the team to prove what he can do so it's all speculation at the moment as to how he'd do.

He showed he can finish even if it was offside.
-
Probably looking at things objectively (especially with the sending off), yeah. On the other hand, its frustrating losing a lead and going down to ten men.
-
Nolan's perfomance after his goal was absolutely woeful. He could barely move.
-
Thought Elmander was canny **** today like. Dunno if I'd want him next season.

If you don't think it's a red card after seeing the replay, you need your head checking. It's challenges like that finish people's careers. Just saying if you have the same opinion that you have now after seeing the replay. No one is even disputing the red card anycase. Fair enough.

He played well the first half I thought, looked comfortable on the ball. Haven't seen the challenge again but at the time it didn't seem like a red. Have to see a replay first though.
