Why is 'fraud' constantly wheeled out? Because most managers under Ashley's ownership have peddled his lies for him.

We are fucking joke of a club. The fans still have the power to do something but we're sitting here doing nothing. It's fucking pathetic.

Funny thing is, there still could be three clubs shitter than us this season. So we'll get to see this season play out for possibly years to come while everyone sits silently.

I think that makes it even more exciting. The best players at Chelsea & Man United aren't THAT much better than the best players at Stoke or Crystal Palace. There's loads of really great players across the league without many of the very best. It makes the league very competitive - far more so than any other top league. It's far less top heavy imo. Made this point before but the ideal would be a league that's competitive and has quality and I'd take quality over competitiveness if it was a choice between the two. At the moment the league to me is competitive only because the quality is so, so bad. But there's plenty of quality individuals and pieces of play. I only follow La Liga otherwise. What's made it so fun recently is it seems Barca & Real have started slowly it's more interesting as a league. What makes that league so brilliant is the Real vs Sevilla, Barca vs Valencia games but there's not many. Real for example seemed to spank most teams 3 or 4 under Ancelotti --- to the detriment of the fun of the overall league. the fact that teams like Arsenal and Man U have so much quality yet aren't very good teams makes the league a great watch this season. Real never won the league under Ancelotti so its a weird example to give about league dominance.

Because imo self preservation is the only real reason that stopped him from saying it 2 or 3 years ago. It's too late and it's for the wrong reasons. He can f*** off. So you'd rather he didn't say it?

McLaren shouting a bit in the changing room isn't going to rid the club of its complete lack of ambition to do anything other than exist. Too much energy is wasted commenting on McLaren/Carr/Charnley etc. when everyone is compromised by the fat man above them. I don't think they are blameless but we'll be having the same debates about their replacements in the future if Ashley is still in charge (we had the same debates about Pardew/Kinnear/Llambias). Ashley is problem full stop. The sooner every single one of our fans realises this, the closer we will be to becoming a real club again. Sadly, after almost nine years the penny still hasn't dropped with some.

Good post. I'm in the same place. I want to enjoy supporting us for a while again. If it turns out that he's talking s**** there's plenty time to suffer later. Ashley is only sitting comfortably now because the fans keep giving him second chances again and again.

Oh god, you mean we've been plagued by toxic ownership and chronic mismanagement? I had no f***ing idea! So hopefully you can see that people are not always just angry at the match in question and are angry with the bigger picture.

How many 'bad days' have we had in the last few years? f*** me, look at the bigger picture ffs. It plain to see why people are annoyed. Bad days under Pardew and Carver were not bad days, it was bad management. We haven't even played 2 games in the new season and people are kicking off. Let's give McClaren a chance, things have just went wrong for us today and our perforce for the majority of the first half doesn't warrant all the comments. So its all out of our control.
