  1. I've been to the Cock & Lion once, which was a good day until we got relegated. I might go there for the WBA game if I can twist a couple of my mates' arms. I think you're guaranteed black and white shirts and familiar accents if there's a match on in there anyway, so you can't really go wrong.
  2. Cheers for that mate. I'll definitely go along at one point or another - I've been on the website a few times looking at fixtures, prices, etc. I'll let you know if I'm planning on going or whether I end up going on the spur of the moment and what I thought of it. Thanks again.
  3. Their ground's right near where my last workplace is. It had crossed my mind to go along to one of the matches, worth a visit then?
  4. that's just reminded me of that brilliant entry to the Football in Paint thread where someone drew Nobby in his house in full matchday kit, playing the saxophone to Sir Bobby over the phone. Aye that was me. I showed it to my mate and he just said "Solano never played the saxophone - he plays the trumpet". Took me forever as well that one.
  5. Click on 'Live Streaming' - it's in yellow at the top of the page.
  6. I've just came back in the house and I'm watching Parma vs Juventus on Bet365. Milan vs Genoa later on.
  7. So chuffed that there's Serie A to watch today like, watching it for nowt on Bet365.
  8. Rightly or wrongly, some player's wages are regarded as common knowledge. I'm surprised I'm the only one to speculate that we might still be paying towards his wages. If he IS on £50k-ish, then either: He's took a massive wage cut The Turkish team are paying way over the odds for him Somewhere in between Or the final option - we're still paying towards his wages. I honestly wouldn't bet against it - Leeds had to do it with a good few of their players when they dropped down a level. Even if we are contributing a bit it's only for 6 months and he never played anyway so I'm not fussed, but as I say I'm surprised at so many people thinking we've definitely shifted his whole wage off the bill when there's so little info available.
  9. Yeah, like brummie says I don't think there's really anything broken that needs to be fixed. The possibility of a Super League is just a means for the big clubs to flex their muscles and get away with shit. The system is stacked heavily in their favour in terms of prize money and the threat of a Super League helps to allow that to continue. I know Man City haven't exactly done it in the most popular way but I'd like to see things get shaken up in the next few years and as we all know Liverpool might well be fucked. NUFC have never been further from the top of the top league of course - we're lightyears away now. We'd need a shitload of money or years and years and years of prudent investment.
  10. Would it surprise you if he didn't even know about this? I think he's going to get a shock when he logs in tbh Regarding Geremi, I wouldn't be surprised if we're still paying towards his wages until the end of his contract tbh.
  11. I was going on about that Merson thing earlier on, it was fucking ridiculous.
  12. Me too aye, but they're not accountable. Every TV package is sold to the highest bidder so it doesn't make a difference if everyone in the country hates it. I actually don't mind their Champions League coverage that much apart from Clive Tyldsley if he's commentating (although I'd infinitely prefer it on BBC anyway) but they make a pig's ear of everything else.
  13. ITV can suck my fucking dick man, honestly.
  14. they probably get a cut so therefore are being greedy Is it not to try to safeguard the 'little club's' payday somehow? I realise that's a bit arse-about-face when you consider some of the shite attendances.
  15. what do you expect man. always happens when people with P,I,L, and K in their usernames get together. My fault ? How ? Both PP and Dave misread a quite innocent post and went ballistic, and it's MY fault ? madras is even worse than the red-tops these days tbh.
  16. What the fuck! Merson's on Soccer Saturday saying Beckford's good enough for Arsenal but not for Newcastle. His justification being that Arsenal make more chances.
  17. Aye my dad's just been kicking off about that like.
