  1. It's a mess mate Remember what brummie said the other day about Bruce just hoying forwards on with no regard for the shape behind them.
  2. holy shit Erm that's your fault Steve, if the players don't know where they're meant to be playing.
  3. having 2 attacking players in the entire side is suspiciously negative from our new manager who wants to play in such a front foot, swashbuckling style.
  4. 5k down on the usual is progress for us tbf, against the likes of Norwich who only bring 1k up then we could be looking at 8k/9k empty seats some games this season I’m not really sure what people were expecting. I’d consider that an initial success. it's a decent start. I'd expected we'd be looking at 40k or less when there was the chaos around Rafa but a few signings and decent opposition on the first weekend seem to have convinced some to go. I'm disappointed though as I think the attendances from here on in will be pretty results dependant. "If Rafa Goes We Go" seems to have been a fairly empty sentiment on a large scale. If 10k or so regulars have packed it in then it seems 5k or so others have been happy to fill the void. It's not enough really and the only thing that will see it go down to 40k or so is rubbish performances and results on the pitch, hence part of the mixed feelings for watching our matches now. Whole thing f***ing sucks, growing up with the club in the 90s then 00s seeing how fun NUFC could be and experiencing this nothingness now where my main hope was seeing as many empty seats as possible is a real kick in the teeth.
  5. They not getting behind Bruce and the lads? They're using their divine right to sit there and watch their team in silence
  6. The crowd are about as into this as I am by the sound of it. Almiron and Joelinton have both looked quite good though.
  7. I think people are jumping the gun a bit. It seemed to me like a lot of people packed their season tickets in and plenty had had enough once Rafa left. I doubt many of those are the ones now going with this annoying superfan message on social media so IMO there's still a silent and significant chunk of the fan base who have walked away. I honestly think we're seeing the beginning of the end in terms of capacity crowds, how quickly it will dwindle will naturally depend on results and performances, and also how many people step in to take the seats that have been left behind. We'll see but honestly I think some people on here are getting disproportionately disheartened by some weird characters on Twitter when in fact the penny dropped for far more this summer than ever before during Ashley's ownership.
  8. Why are they choosing to hamstring the attacking side when the margin is so minimal it's almost non-existent?
  9. That's spot on tbf, Andy Carroll is Andy Carroll. Thanks for the insight, Steve.
  10. Norwich have deserved that and probably a bit more. They may have just made Liverpool angry though, mind.
  11. Norwich have looked dangerous / Liverpool shaky a few times here.
  12. Leaving one of them out for Jack Colback would have been absolutely fucking stupid. So he had a choice if he was happy to look absolutely fucking stupid.
  13. Bruce had no choice, mind Sure he would have found a place for him if it wasn't so irrefutably stupid to do so.
  14. It's a minefield, supporting a football club manager.
  15. I still think there will have been a lot dropped off this summer. Doesn't really matter what a select few on Twitter are saying.
  16. It's a shame nobody ever asks them how they'd feel about those managers being in charge of clubs they give a fuck about.
  17. He's Duncan Ferguson basically, the parallels have been there for a long time. Class player when fit but never is.
  18. And moaning that his squad's shit / they're all keeling over (nowt to do with GRAFT SWEAT KICK PEOPLE) / it's the crowd's fault.
  19. Yeah, Sheff Wed on loan was done.
  20. It's just Alan Pardew all over again. Manager is a mouthpiece and a ringpiece.
  21. So we spent, what, £35m net? So ~20% of our turnover after years of underspending and still it's reported/perceived that we've spent a lot of money.
  22. They're talking some proper embarrassing shite about this on Sky. Nolan also reiterating how he was nudging him out of the door towards Liverpool whilst our captain.
