He's not as good as Clark but there's absolutely no way I'd agree with that Absolutely every area of the team is subject to intense neesy scrutiny atm. Just because we've lost a few games doesn't mean anyone is carrying anyone at the back, the central defensive partnership is fine and we'll be back to winning ways and looking solid soon. It's something I've thought for a number of weeks. But nice of you to jump on my post as per usual. It's because you've been jumping on players left, right and centre during a difficult week, after 9 consecutive wins before that. I don't think there's any justification in it tbh, it's just moaning for the sake of it.

In the catalogue of corrupt/idiotic decisions last night this was the one which most illustrated the officials being totally out of their depth. The "tangle" was little more than that and will occur at some time in almost every game. Like you say he wasn't sent off because of a "kick" he was sent off because after the tangle the linesman saw Lansbury rolling around holding his head and thought "I've missed something so better pretend I've seen it". It was totally Lansbury's acting which led to the red card - without the acting it's not even noticed. If that in itself wasn't enough to show up the officials as basically non league standard then the award of the penalty that followed should be enough to send them back to their local Sunday leagues. Agree with this, the incident was next to nowt. Busybody officiating on that one. Watched the game when I got in last night, for that many wrong decisions to go against us in such a game changing manner was a disgrace. First one wasn't a penalty, second one wasn't either but seen them given I suppose, for us to also get 2 reds was just utterly weird. And we should have definitely had a penalty/goal given, the referee was completely biased based on which end the incident occurred at and the game needs to be looked at by the FA, not that it will be.

Agreed 100℅. He's a luxury player imo, a bit like viana was. Wonderful passer etc. We've gone from nowt being the matter at all because we were on a 9 game winning streak and nobody had owt to moan about, to Hayden and Shelvey being incompatible if you want to get the best out of the latter to the extent you should always play Colback instead, to Shelvey actually being canny shit and a luxury to boot. In a week Amazing how much some people on here shit themselves after a few adverse results. He's not beyond criticism but honestly if you don't think Shelvey has been one of our most accomplished, effective and important players this season, I just don't know how we can be watching the same sport.

Drive him to the forest, dump him in the forest, say "I thought you liked forests", drive off. -
Oof there it is.

Netflix would be better off leaving it well alone, they're doing a great job quietly killing off Sky without needing to get involved with football.

No sympathy for Parrish if he gave Pardew a new contract in the summer FFS, what a fucking idiot with the run they were already on.

That interview, man Why the hell is that oaf sticking his oar into this?

Love winning obvious joke races.

He's done a ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY there tbh.

We have a better balance in midfield when Colback plays with Shelvey. Yeah that seems to be the new forum mantra, surfacing after one defeat against Blackburn. I don't agree with it. We dominated a PL side away from home for the majority of the game last night, I doubt very much we'd have been any better with Colback in the side.

It's massively reactionary like, we were rolling along for 9 games with not a lot to criticise and now the inevitable couple of adverse results have arrived people are coming out with all sorts of bollocks as if they're relieved they finally have something to moan about. I think we're in basically the same position we were pre-Blackburn, Colback isn't suddenly better than Hayden, and Shelvey isn't suddenly the worst player on any football pitch where any of our other players are on FFS
