That is very true, however the statement is probably right Lascelles is not ready yet, if he was playing for one of the top 6 he would certainly be in the squad though. Could the same be said for Dunk? Wonder if Lascelles is ahead of him in the pecking order 2 year age difference but they're both at the age (Lascelles nearly 24 and Dunk nearly 26) where it shouldn't really be prohibitive.

Don't see why Lascelles is a year away when plenty of other players are getting picked these days on the strength of a few games.

I don't think we were a great deal more positive or expansive in the away games versus Swansea & So'ton, where we did pick up points. To be honest this was our gameplan in a lot of away games last season in an inferior division as well. I'm cool with it tbh, Rafa wants the team to be compact and solid before anything else. If you look at the state of our options in some positions I don't blame him. Desperate for a new AM/ST/LB/GK, probably in that order.

Seems a bit harsh tbh, their fixtures have been hellish which has obviously knocked their confidence for the more winnable games. Reckon it would have levelled out. Haven't seen much of them mind, so if their performances have been that diabolical then fair enough I suppose.
