  1. I doubt a thread on N-O figures on the list of aims for Sports Direct News, but tbf who knows? It's clouded in mystery as ever.
  2. Might as well just get shot of them then, no value in a local press by the sounds of it. Your gripes don't seem that major to me, sure there were annoyances such as those described but there were also decent editorials, transfer stories and opinion pieces. It's gone now, there's no point in it and it's another reflection on those now in charge of the club. Local journos used to favour those players more willing to give interviews, they are now terrified to do anything but spout club propaganda. Big difference.
  3. I think this is harsh for reasons we've gone over on here a hundred times. They couldn't sell papers if they didn't have access to matches and press conferences and since our club is basically Communist Russia they have no choice but to toe the line. That possibly limits their options in terms of journos too. It's a piss take of a situation but we've seen what happens to journalists that make life even the slightest bit uncomfortable for Ashley, they get banned from the ground. I have massive sympathy for The Chronicle/Journal, they used to be half-decent (not amazing or anything) when NUFC wasn't run by fucking petty arseholes.
  4. Does it feature any/much news of other clubs?
  5. What the fuck is this shit actually about? An attempt to replace the 'publicity' generated by the stadium name change? A big fuck off to the local newspapers? A subtle replacement of the NUFC TV service? Whatever it is, it's came from nowhere and it's fucking weird.
  6. Neglects to mention us bringing in FIVE players in January to bail him out. Starting from a clean slate this summer, because it suits him.
  7. We've got a new one! http://www.thejournal.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-stronger-two-years-5671462
  8. Yep, I know it was only against a 10 man Wigan side but we played some good football during that 3-0 win with Anita, Bigi and Marveaux in midfield. Then we made sure all 3 were out of the side ASAP.
  9. Fair play, if that's true I'm just wrong. It's just very unappealing to me when a group of fans take turns to laugh at stuff which (IMO) is very often perfectly normal stuff for a manager to say. This is separate issue to whether you think Pardew's any good or not. To me, it just comes across as smug and willfully ignorant, and that people are doing it just to have another dig at the manager. This is just my opinion, obviously things can come across strangely in writing, so maybe that's it. You had a problem when people weren't happy with Pardew saying he didn't care if Arsenal beat us 4-0 and thank God we weren't in Europe next season. Were they perfectly normal things for a manager to say or worthy of criticism and mockery? Apologies, I don't have a tape recording of it btw. I don't think it's worth me trying to re-argue all those points again. Areet then. I'm not trying to avoid the issue, it's just genuinely too much like hard work to go through it all again. Goooooooooo on, one more time, they are calling for an encore... Tbh I thought it was a valid question, I'm sick of hearing this "All managers say the same stuff" bollocks. For a start, I've never known an NUFC manager talk anywhere near as much deliberately misleading drivel as this bloke.

  12. being a regular on here I thought the default position was to blame our lot ? maybe using the evidence to hand on each occasion may make things more even. Or you could follow trends in our transfer behaviour which include targeting unsettled players which can lead to protracted negotiations if we're pinching pennies as we always do, and as a result quite often leaving ourselves short and sacrificing points until we get the deal done.
  13. Roaming sounds a bit dear.
  14. There's every chance we'll go into the Man City game with no new players available for selection, trivialise that idea all you like but it's not acceptable.
  15. I'll never forget the time last season when he was questioned on the Europe excuse with the point that 5 or 6 players didn't play in Europe a few days earlier and his answer was that those players were a bit rusty because they hadn't played.

    Alan Pardew

It's gonna happen so I'd rather we get it over with as soon as possible. When it ends we'll be rid of them both. Yeah, similar. I know what Yorkie's saying because the Kinnear stuff's taken me to new lows but fuck it.

    Alan Pardew

It's going to happen, my interest is at an all time low so I'm not that arsed about delaying the inevitable, especially not at the benefit of keeping that slimy prick.

I'm not that averse to it tbh, I don't see what Pardew's got going for him that makes him such a better option. If Kinnear develops some social skills then give it a whirl. Is that a genuine comment? Is that how bad it's got? I find the idea of Kinnear as manager absolutely nauseating, whether Pardew's shite or not. I find the current wanker absolutely nauseating, maybe we'll luck out and Kinnear will have health issues when manager then we somehow chance on a proper manager. Fuck knas, they're all wankers.

  20. The winger thing is so obvious, and it seems we voluntarily compounded matters today by playing Jonas/Sissoko on the wings. We better have Remy/Ben Arfa/Cisse on the pitch at Man City if current personnel remains the same.
