The 'small man will struggle up front his own' is such a myth, it really depends on the players supporting him and the general style of the team he is playing in. A mobile attacking "force" causes more problems than a static target man IMO. More exciting to watch too.

Means we can spunk quite a bit of the £35mil on a quality striker and other recruits. We have a good side there.

Didn't see you post m8 it's a good one and confirms that great minds think alike. Taylor has had a couple of steady games, and I'm eternally hopeful that he manages get some consistency. Simpson is young and will learn to stop backing off eventually. Sturridge for me in the new striker role.

Larsson is a solid Premier League performer with a peach of a right foot. Hardly average! I would want him in my squad any day of the week. If/when he gets here it's up to the lad to force himself into the side, somehow. Really happy that we are buying this type of player rather than taking a punt on others that have never played at the highest level in England.
