I'm happy with that but still don't think Sammy's going to make it. Don't think I could handle having a languid winger with the work ethic of Shola (could be his super long legs making it look like he runs slow though).
-
Good lord, our attacking movements. They are back.
-
3-1 win. HBA playing a role in all our goals.
-
Some very well placed tackles today when he was beaten for pace. Also held the ball up fairly well for Ben Arfa during those key moments. Very pleased he's put that performance at MCity behind him.
-
No coincidence that this performance comes at the same time we play a 4-3-3. Credit where credit is due, Pards out out our best eleven with a formation which got us into Europe. Don't change anything tyvm.
-
A flair player with a phenomenal work rate. Absolutely incredible player.
-
Can't say I was overly impressed with his performance. While he held up the ball fairly well, his movement off the ball was static and he didn't try to get into spaces to pick up the ball. I noticed he improved in the first half but I'm reconsidering whether he's worth having in our starting eleven.
-
Credit to his work rate as well. Chased quite a few lost balls like a madman into our own half. For someone who had a reputation for being lazy off the ball, I've been very impressed with his general movement on the pitch during attack and defence.
-
I think I'd be more than happy to have him as a squad player in the central midfield. It's difficult to not acknowledge his work ethic and I think it's better served in those positions.

Really looks awful in this photo.

Would be worth the buy if it wasn't for the £18 shipping fee to deliver it to Australia. Absolutely daft charging that much. -
That overhead kick though.

Same time next year guys?

Absolute bollocks. He played shite today but he's a good backup keeper. You're spot on there. It's like any hint of a good performance prior to Krul's previous injury HAVE to be discounted. If Elliot's performance was of a League One standard, then the same argument must hold for most of our starting eleven (which is obviously not true).

This build up play is quality.
-
Only showing the second half apparently.
-
Now 1-2. Obligatory Cahill header.
-
Make that 0-2.

That is what i was thinking , like to think we can get a few of the kids to step up . He's a left back so I'd doubt that he's a direct replacement for Simpson. Going to be tough for him to get ahead of Santon and Haidara so perhaps he'll go out on loan again (maybe to the Championship). Doesn't really matter what side he plays given Santon is a right footed full back. We will still have 3 quality full backs along with Raylor, Perch, Dummett and Ferguson. As mentioned in the Simpson thread, this is probably the strongest we have been at full back for as long as I can remember. Can't see Simpson being replaced. Tavernier hasn't been half bad either.
