  1. I wish him well. A great singing for us, but he’s never been able to cope with more than 1 game a week for us. The signs have been there for us that it’s time for us and him to move before he becomes a liability due to us holding onto him for too long.
  2. North Shields beat Whitley Bay 2-1.

Putting on a tacky sign from a 70’s supermarket on the outside of their stadium.
  4. York are top of the league at the moment.
  5. That’s my Ninja out the fucking window.
  6. Cadbury’s is a Premier League sponsor, then again so is Coke Cola and they have individual deals with clubs.
  7. Middlesbrough vs Millwall on ITV for those who don’t have Sky.
  8. Who’s going to design any better? Nike are shit aside from their 2002/04 template which they have brought back. Puma are just awful, even the recent Man City shirts have been horrific and they can’t stop fucking about with Dortmund kits.
  9. Same sponsor for both, but treat as 2 deals, similar to when Ashley threw in the ‘stadium sponsorship’ to Wonga.
  10. I honestly can’t see Adidas going anywhere anytime soon, and ai know they have another 3 years or so left, but I mean beyond that. They are clearly investing in a lot of clubs, and are giving a lot of clubs massive ranges outside of generic football merchandise. I think with our history/love affair with Adidas, and with our owners, we’ll always be some of coup. Nike are pretty much the only competition they have, and I just can’t see Adidas willingly letting us go so easy, or for us to be as lucrative to the likes of Nike or even Puma as we are to Adidas.
  11. If it’s true that Sela are due to be replaced this summer, I suspect the club will end up going for a front of shirt and front of training shirt sponsor in order to inflate the fee higher than we otherwise would have with just the Sela replacement.
  12. Looks like you can actually buy this one (country dependant), unlike that stuff the guy who tried to buy Sunderland allegedly sold.
  13. Iraq qualify for the World Cup.
  14. Brazilians have the right to live and work in Portugal, and also are entitled to Portuguese citizenship after 5 years. A loan move to a Portuguese club would be ideal until he’s more established.
  15. For what it is worth, Everton have just announced that they have done the same thing with Goodison Park and their woman’s team.
  16. It’s been introduced, but it has as much teeth as the FA did in anyway.
  17. No. It’s important to note that the SCR rules means that infrastructure costs are not calculated, that works both ways in terms of interest on loans for it, and revenue from sale/lease of it. For UEFA we would end up with more than a fine if we used this method again to earn money. We and Aston Villa have only got away with it because the president had been set by Chelsea and Barcelona before us. A further break of this rule would mean that we get more than a monetary fine, unless of course one of those clubs repeatedly broke the rules before us and got away with it.
  18. Even with the current status, it’s amazing that they don’t. How they have been able to look at the NFL teams over the last 20 years and let them take all the money for TV rights, have massive stadiums for clubs, and sponsorships and say that only 6 clubs can have that in the Premier League as they claims it’s the best league in sports is beyond me. We should be in a position right now where TV rights alone are high enough for every Premier League club to have a minimum income of £400m per year.
  19. Interest payments on infrastructure loans are not included in SCR. We can finance the cost of our new stadium without it hitting us.
  20. They had a perfect opportunity this season to go up, and they just haven’t been arsed. So many of them are here for 1 last payday. There has been no effort under 2 managers now.

    U23s & Academy

Not a bad achievement, but should have been a walkover when you consider that you have regens of Gordon on the left, Fellini next to him, Miley in the centre, and Hall on the right.
  22. No, failed at Chelsea, failed in his follow up job. He got lucky to get another chance at Coventry, is a few games away from being a legend for them. You wouldn’t turn that down for a few weeks at Spurs, and long term it’s poisoned chalice.
  23. Lampard isn’t leaving Coventry this season.
