  1. I’ve said it before, but I wouldn’t wish Ashley on anyone, but I would like to see him take control of another football club purely because it would prove us right. What better way of doing it than him owning a club who wish it upon themselves. I tried to warn them all a few years back, I addressed all the things they are saying now and took them apart individually. A few of them are saying that he sold us to billionaires, and that he could do for them. Now I believe Sheffield Wednesday to be big club fallen on hard time, but in the 21st century they have spent over 20 years outside of the Premier League. They have had long spells in the 3rd tier. Their stadium now has no modern facilities, and is described by away fans as a death trap waiting to happen. They have been sold numerous times, and have constantly been for sale. If anyone was going to come in and buy them to reach the top, then they would have done so before, they certainly aren’t waiting for Mike Ashley to give them a boost up.
  2. I had this convo with some Sheffield Wednesday fans back when he sold us. They won’t listen. They will repeat the media narrative from the time he owned us. It’s a shame, I actually like them as a club. Is he really interested in them though?
  3. Aye, loads of Champions shirts sold, and other Champions merchandise. Not to forget the final edition shirt as well. Both of them selling at full price, which considering is just a couple of stick on patches to the regional home shirt, which other Adidas clubs are now selling in their sales, it bumps it up a bit. You’ve probably got people out there with 2 or 3 editions of this year’s home shirt, when they would normally only have 1, all at full price as well. You’d imagine things like scarves and the flags would have sold well for the parade as well.
  4. I think FIFA and UEFA should just do it so each transaction gets locked in transaction fee for the agents. Transfers between tier 1 UEFA top 5 nations, £250k per sale, £100k per loan, £50k contract extension. Fee can only be paid for this player once every 2-3 years to prevent the agents for getting players to move around a lot. That’s just an example. I also think players should just pay their agents in anyway.
  5. Should have called themselves Villapool.
  6. 3 minutes seems harsh on this day and age. 2 goals, and 6 subs.
  7. Burnsy did similar. During the takeover when he created one of his current accounts, he asked for info on what was going on. Someone fed him lies for months saying the takeover was done, been approved, was waiting for Covid restrictions to ease so they could do promo pics to announce it. He was going apeshit at the clubs socials, saying he knows it was completed months ago etc.
  8. It’s to do with how close they are to the pitch. They are too close. We don’t have a problem with it, Anfield and Old Trafford do.
  9. Even if they did go through, the tale of ‘After the Lord Mayors show’ is as old as time.
  10. Fucking hell, they are doing this.
  11. Should have passed that.
  12. We could have done with it being competitive for a bit longer.
  13. Getting the practice in for next season.
  14. I honestly think the sites they have looked at may not be big enough or even suitable for the new training complex. If they are wanting a mini stadium as part of it, then that would also complicate things. Could you imagine the traffic along Sandy Lane on racing day as well as 5k-10k fans going in to see the women play? The same applies at Woolsington Hall, absolutely no public transport there, aside from a bit of a hike to the Metro station.

I’m not sure about Birmingham City to be honest. Some teams have steamrolled their way out of League One and flopped in the Championship, others have dogged their way out of it and done back to back promotions. I actually think Sunderland will win the play offs. The only team there who I thought would beat them would be Burnley, and it looks like them and Leeds are getting promoted, both teams can actually secure it if they win their respective games on Good Friday and Bank holiday Monday. So yeah, I think Sunderland will beat whoever they get in the semi’s over 2 legs, and likely play Sheffield United in the final, which I think they’ll win.
  16. It’s nice, but so wish the logo’s were a bit smaller, especially the one on the back, it annoys me more than it should.
  17. It absolutely should be.
  18. In all fairness, I think it’s a fair argument that the top 5 UEFA nations shouldn’t have a team competing within it. Chelsea playing their reserves in the 1st leg of the quarter final is enough to see them through to the semi-finals. It is very likely that the other semi-final is to be contested between Spain’s and Italy’s representatives. Last year saw Italy’s representative get to the final, the year before the English and Italian representatives got to the final, and they year before that which was it’s inaugural edition, the Italian representative won it.
  19. Yeah, but we should be finishing above both of them from this position regardless.
  20. I’ve had pneumonia before, and even though I have a heart condition which can magnify it, it’s not a trivial condition. Honestly before I was admitted to hospital, I was contemplating ending it. I was told that it was a virus, which it was which got worse, and that my body would fight it. I went around in circles of having migraines (and I suffered from migraines that hospitalised me as a kid), feeling sick, no energy, hot, cold, fine, over and over. Each time it got worse as the cycle went around. I was eventually admitted to hospital and put on antibiotics. I’m not kidding you, within an hour I felt so much better. All in all though I was in hospital for a week. And as much as antibiotics starts to make it go away, I’m not kidding you the recovery process was long. After a few days you begin to take deeper breaths, and it’s just so refreshing, and you feel like you have been struggling for ages. It’s literally like a weight comes off your chest. You still have no energy though, the feeling better factor gives you false sense of capabilities. You don’t have the energy to get up out of bed. You can’t do lots of little things. After I came out of hospital, I couldn’t get to my front gate without being knackered. Your lungs are still recovering and you have constant coughing and wheezing fits. After 2 weeks I begged work to let me go back, and I’m so pleased they told me that I had to take my full month off, because when I came back, I was still knackered just walking about without any pace. It literally takes months for you to start to be normal again. As an adult, it was the worst illness that I have ever had. Unless you actually experience it, you don’t know how severe it is. It’s not just a simple chest infection, it’s fucking awful. The guy next to me died one night because of it. Other people in the hospital who are otherwise well and active all hospitalised and sat in bed from it.
