  1. easy group for south africa, surprise surprise. argentina also getting a quite easy group
  2. nowt on shola's amazing penalty taking skills.
  3. just seen in the mag, out of the four games they reported in on in the issue, he managed to be given 1 out of 10 in 3 of them!
  4. i think he felt like he was treated unfairly after he did so well in his season in charge, being moved to a director of football position. but certainly never seemed bitter about the whole thing, towards the end of his life he always described his second season by saying " i was the best paid scout in the world". thats the only thing i can really think of. but its been a while since i'v read his bio and dont have it to hand, so not sure if this is entirely trustworthy.
  5. same place they find these people to send in these emails
  6. surprised they showed ranger's chance over smith's. way to add pressure on the guy bbc...
  7. quality name as well. west brom: simply because they deserve to be. leicester: like the cut of their jibb, play nice football at times. assuming we dont manage to "do a newcastle" and implode.
  8. " we're going to concentrate on the championship" bloody hell, we may actually see more than one non-goal highlight!
  9. west ham are one of the few teams i'm really enjoying watching at the moment, good going forward, woefull at the back, always a good combination.
  10. would like a top half premier league team, except sunderland. then if we get knocked out, its no big deal.
  11. decent 3 points, nothing special. i did think the swansea fans seemed abit too interested in their neighbours in cardiff.
  12. the people who sit to the left of me, have turned up late every single game so far, but today really took the piss, two of them turned up as everyone was celebrating looking like they didnt even care, then their mate turns up another 5 mins into the game. about 15 mins lates, the first two piss off again and dont see them for the rest of the game.
  13. cant belive i only go 82. really struggled to spell a few names like ruud van nistelroy and hasselbank. and solsjar (no where near close) and forgot dennis berkamp
  14. always worn 32 when i can because of lauren robert, ftw.
  15. sounded alot like the same things as we've been hearing from chris hughton over and over again to me.
  16. did we not win bolton away last season 3-1? just before keegan walked? Errrr no We lost 3-0, at Arsenal. aye, i just checked, turned out i'm thinking of the wrong year. must of just tried to bloke out the memory of last season.
  17. did we not win bolton away last season 3-1? just before keegan walked?
  18. pretty much sums him up, worries defences, but at the last moment, fails. still, bloody brilliant for a championship team. he always adds that little bit of class and the ability to take on players, which no-one in our squad does.
  19. i'm struggling to gauge how well pne are doing really, since ther down in 12th but only 3 points off the play offs. but i'd still expect a win. hopefully get a couple early on and we can try and improve our goal difference.
  20. just put two doubles on. blackburn + spurs. roma+ blackburn.
  21. most of mine have been mentioned before: the atmosphere in cardiff for the man u semi final, remember being in a pub before the match and sunderland missing a penalty and the place going mental, also walking to the ground loads of people kicking a football around untill someone kicked it onto the roof of a pub. being completly outclassed and being overrun, yet still we sang our hearts out while the man u fans left early. obviously getting 40k+ this season has been impressive, it still gets me down abit when i look at the empty seats in the milburn but that has more to do with reminding me of our poisition, than not being proud of our club. when players who left our club years ago and were never from the area use terms like "we" and "our" when talking about the club. it makes me proud knowing that we find a way into their hearts, just like they do to us. a personal one for me is at liverpool away, on boxing day, my dad drove me all the way despite not having a ticket, he ended up watching it in a pub, we lost 2-0 and bowyer (i think) got sent off. despite being 2-0 down at half time everyone was singing along to status quo, except the woman next to me who turned to me and said " it isnt over till the fat lady sings, so i better be quiet", the fact that we always seem to have a lot of fun and banter despite being for the most part in a load of shit, i think that moment epitomised that for me.
  22. Embarrassing stuff tbh. what they saying praised his movement, said he should be taken to the world cup.
