POLL RESET: Newcastle United Goal of the Season 2016/17
Dr.Spaceman replied to joeyt's topic in Football
Has to be for me, in any division that was sheer quality. And we still get lots in the crowd shouting for our defenders / midfielders to "Get it forward man" -
The few fans that were left were actually applauding the players off the field

He's in the squad by the looks of it. No Aarons though, at least I didn't see him come in. -

I doubt these types will be welcomed with open arms... Partly why I don't bother with away games. -
Santon Sissoko

Way to sensationalize something -
Why would Hodgson go there? Can't be short of a few quid and at 69 I don't think he'd want the hassle.

Reading can't make the list, they aren't rich enough even to put a ripple in the pool. You stupid idiot. -
I would pin him up against the wall and tell him in no uncertain terms that he has two games to save his career. You'll sharp know if he fancies it or not.

The rules are wrong. There should be nothing wrong with backing yourself to win.

Surely that's all in the hands of the agency and we just pay what they tell us to pay? -

Well it's income tax and national insurance, so could be player wages. Most big earners will be using tax avoidance companies to handle their salaries. I imagine the footballers are no different.... paying large sums of money into overseas holding companies and paying themselves dividends rather than salaries. If Charney is implicated in assisting this sort of activity, maybe that could be part of the investigation.... (?) It is not actually illegal, more of a loophole but, depending on how it is conducted it could contravene some of the HMRC rules! Yup. I'd be very surprised if NUFC are knowingly outright breaking the law. As much as we hate Ashley, he comes across as someone who knows all the necessary loopholes inside out. -

Well if we're not allowed to sign any players for next season we won't have any points to deduct. We'll be worse than that Derby team. -

If they relate to France then we didn't do any dealings with French clubs this year. They can't impose a points deduction for anything we did 2 years ago, can they?! -

0.1% chance. Just thinking with the whole 'fit and proper' test that the FA have in place these days, it's about time they made another high profile example to reinforce their stance. Celino was the last I can think of. -
