Really? I'd be ecstatic. Wouldn't really replace Remy but if we could get Welbeck for the same price as LDJ, I'd have Welbeck. Guy's quality and will get better with 38 games up front every year. linking may be too big a term, more that Welbecks could get shoved out of Man Utd and as always us in cases like this us and Everton get linked. Why I'll never know.
-
mail linking us with Welbeck.

that looked an accident tbh

I mean really £60m a year just for the kits then throw in shirt sponsor, training kit sponsor, training ground renaming (why just why would you do that) and the numerous lower level sponsorship deals they have with a shit ton of companies in most countrys in the world, the brand is all encompassing and raking in money by the truck load and it ain't gonna stop any time soon. And if you have money you can be competitive with any club, let alone one with the kind of history Manchester United have. I'd be admiring of this set up if it wasn't so infuriating.

Oliver Holt @OllieHolt22 20s Lots of speculation at The Hawthorns that Pepe Mel will not last the weekend. all in all looks a complete disaster

Like I mentioned last week, can only be Hughton's fault. A fair amount has been spent on Becchio, Hooper, van Wolfswinkel & Elmander. Do we know that they were Hughton's choices? Not many boards these days allow the manager to spend big money, especially those who have been sacked from two previous skinflint clubs like Newcastle and Birmingham. minor correction but he was never sacked from Birmingham, he got the Norwich job while he was there. And while I can't say with 100% certainty that there is no DOF or board doing the buying at Norwich, I've never seen any evidence to suggest that its the case.

I can't take the Europa League seriously personally the main reason being is letting the Champions League failures in. It just discredits it since its the consolation prize for them and really gives it the feeling of "champions league for those too shit to get into it or stay in it" and doesn't feel like its own unique competition and as much shit as I'll give the ridiculous overhype of the "magic" of the fa cup it does feel like its own tournament. UEFA need to stop letting in any champions league side who go out be it in early stage or in particular group stage, you lost you don't get to stay in Europe for losing. They need to revamp the format completely instead of it being CL lite get rid of all group stages and make it a simple 2 legged knockout competition the whole way through.

GW 29 West Brom 2-1 Man Utd Cardiff 1-2 Fulham Crystal Palace 2-1 Southampton Norwich 0-1 Stoke Chelsea 2-0 Spurs
-
It'd take several years of them being out of the CL to have an effect on their ability to attract the best players IMO. true but if its a straight choice between for example Real Madrid or Man Utd then they ain't going to win those kind of transfer battles.

decided to limit myself to 2 per team max because why not, makes it a hell of a lot more difficult than it really should be. 4-2-3-1 Szczesny, Coleman, Mertesacker, Jagielka, Shaw, Fernandinho, Toure, Hazard, Oscar, Suarez, Sturridge. as for Bale or Neymar..........probably Bale but not much difference and you wouldn't complain with either of them

I'd forgotten he was even still playing tbh

Presumably the parachute payments have increased btw? the increase comes in this year I think (ie those sides relegated this season) so QPR are on the old ones-could be completely wrong mind.
-
accepted charge requested personal hearing
-
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/mar/06/qpr-debt-177m-report-premier-league-relegation QPR lost £65m last season even with prem tv cash, turnover didn't even cover wages. God only knows what its going to look like for this year without prem tv cash
-
Bit daft he was left on after that
-
What's the story behind this? strong rumours of it at Southampton I believe but never anything close to confirmed but would explain his sacking as it could hardly be claimed he was doing a poor job and had just won 4-0 iirc.
-
no money spent on transfers, JFK to deal with, the standard crap that comes with Mike Ashley and best player sold in the middle of jan without anything resembling a replacement and despite all that still in theory in the hunt for a European place. Its hard to argue against the idea with all that and the only thing to go on is the piss poor performance in the cups, well in this seasons case the fa cup performance since I really do think we were damn unlucky against City not to get the win the performance deserved in normal time but thats football sometimes.
-
Snodgrass is actually one of their more effective players tbh. Not saying much but still. Also the question that can be directed at any manager to say how much of a success they've been is the team and club better than when he arrived, its hard to say it is to any meaningful degree.
-
in theory but the Villa game was of much greater importance since its a side around them plus away to a side whose home form at best is sketchy and on the back of the Spurs result with you scoring a very early goal, you'd be hard pressed to find a better scenario than that and to collapse is such a pathetic manner doesn't bode well for them.
-
honestly shocked Hughtons still in a job really thought that Villa result would finish him off
