  1. they're threatening to put him on the bench for 6 months if he doesn't sign a new deal now or go now. I know. January is their deadline. Not sure it's Sissokos though, if he even has stated one as has been rumoured. Shouldn't be in any rush for him personally, yet. very little they can do in reality if he decided to sign a pre contract this month
  2. think his ideal role is part of a 3 with Cabaye and Tiote linking between them Cabaye further forward and Tiote screening the back 4
  3. You sounds like Cwarr07 You sound like a fast irish sprinter. no such thing

yes we're all just talking about him still being here to fuck with your mind
  6. I'm sure Geremi was club captain for a wee bit. and lets not forget Englands Micheal Owen, so lets keep things in perspective
  7. only going to believe it when it has the Colin seal of approval
  8. SunSport Now ‏@SunSportNow Tottenham to hold pitch inspection at 2.50pm ahead of White Hart Lane clash with Manchester United. #thfc #mufc
  9. for me these system things go in and out of fashion based on what was used in the last world cup, 4231 was used a fair bit there so suddenly everyones using it

the real difficulty is who, the names familar with the prem easily available aren't exactly stellar (Di Matteo and Adkins probably the best of the bunch available rather easily) while I personally would be very wary of throwing someone unfamiliar with the prem in at the deep end so to speak. Much better to get someone like that before a season starts and give them time to adapt. Why do we need anyone familiar with the Prem? Poyet wasn't familiar with the Prem yet he kicked our arse tactically and and all over the pitch twice in 12 months. Di Matteo and Adkins are of a similar pedigree. Not that it's much of a pedigree, but compared to Pardew their record probably stands up quite well. I'm utterly ignoring anyone in a job because Ashley won't go for them thus no point considering someone managing in the champ or whatever so our realistic candidates who are unfamiliar with the prem are foreign ones and I'd be reluctant to throw them in a difficult situation like ours as the best way to employ them. Thus leaving us with an uninspiring list of prospective replacements of which Mark Hughes is probably the most qualified for our current situation. The problem is I don't like the idea of replacing Pardew with Hughes.

you know I'd accept that kind of comment out of someone who had actually contribited to the side and not basically insulted the club at every turn in his actions (eg Cabaye Colo HBA) but him? Get lost you twat

bit of a lazy thing to do tbh, the problems began not with Pardew himself starting them but the injuries and lack of adaption to dealing with the europa league on our schedule. What can be pinned on Pardew is the lack of any credible response or solution to these difficulties and indeed making them worse with strange team selections even with more limited resources lately. ATM he just doesn't seem to know how to get the side out of the trouble its in, I honestly don't think he caused most of the initial problems but his reaction to these difficulties leaves a lot to be desired.
  15. you could say that about a great many clubs, every manager gets inundated with calls from agents touting this prospect or that hidden gem in the windows its about sifting through the BS to find the actual good ones. Santon was a strange one by himself though given the tendency for Italian players to stay in Italy and just how highly rated he had been by Inter to let him go so cheap was baffling
  16. Didn't Lazio try that a few years back with Pandev only to lose him early because of it
  17. south america's difficult for any english side to get many really young players because of the work permit thing, unless they qualify for an eu passport they won't get one. And they do have a look around europe (tiote anita-holland cisse-germany) its just players in the french league are more likely to adapt quicker and french clubs (except for PSG and Monaco) finances are looking grim in the near future if they bring in this 75% tax thing
