Too much optimism going into this. I'm not normally the pessimist, but I fear we might be disappointed tomorrow.
-
Must admit I hate any mackem manager who's name doesn't seamlessly fit into daydream believer, highly inconsiderate of them.

Is BBC Wales on freeview?
-
Nah, he had 2.5 years left of a 3.5 year contract.
-
TBF, we had three league games (two away), and won them all. Can't really argue with that, did anyone else win all their league games in November? Course, that screws our luck for tomorrow. Agree Redknapp deserved it, but Parker?
-
Ahh so if we win our group and Ireland manage to qualify we'll get them in the quarters. Canny.

Always reminds me of the SBR days. Hearing that prematch was pretty much your call to get to your seats because the match was kicking off in 5 minutes.

It's actually times like these when you see the gulf between our two clubs. When they're on a high, but it just doesn't compare to us one bit. They're going on as if this is the biggest and best managerial appointment the club's made in most their lifetimes. To compare, that's pretty much like when we appointed Sir Bobby. Bless them.

You do realise this is the MAGedia you're talking about?
-
Aye, I'd never heard it before I went to college, but a lot of people from North Tyneside and the coast seem to use it.

I'd prefer they appoint MON over Hughes like. Either way, I'm not particularly arsed, aside from the actual derby match itself they're not going to be bothering us this season.

 Everytime I see something like this from Heza I can't help laughing at the time he had half of you thinking he was a Journalism student at Newcastle Uni who was going to be interviewing HBA the next day.
-
What did you get? 100-1? Third favourite behind the obvious front 2, only 6/1 at Will Hill.
-
Supposedly weaker side? She's been drinking that RTG kool-aid I think. I read Roberto Martinez as Mancini at first, proper wtf moment.

Despite being wrong by not giving a free kick initially, think it was a rare case of a referee putting common sense before the rules. By the rulebook Spurs should've got the goal, but it would've been ridiculously harsh.
-
 Right decision like, but via the completely wrong route.
-
Are Spurs playing 3-5-2 btw?
-
Nice to see Viana scored the winner like.
-
Definitely would've preferred the minutes silence followed by a wall of noise and a chorus of 'One Gary Speed', a minutes applause is common place in football, a silence would've been much more powerful. I do like the rest of the clubs plans though, seem very respectful and well thought out, well done to the club for that.

£78 up thanks to a cheeky £6 bet after they were dumped out the cup by Brighton. Gutted I didn't put any more than what was lying around in my betting account on it like. I need to send the Venkys a Christmas card too for sticking by Kean this long. Still disappointed the Agent Bruce era is over, fingers crossed they appoint someone just as hopeless.

On the subject of the club making some sort of gesture I'm thinking the Chelsea match will come too soon, possibly the Swansea match (I'd have suggested Everton but that isn't until the final game of the season), where both clubs will have links to Speed, would be more appropriate? I wouldn't want us to over do it either, having everyone wear 11 or similar suggestions seems a little over the top, I think the suggestion someone made of wearing specially embroidered shirts a la vs Ipswich for Sir Bobby is the best suggestion so far. Both teams could wear them and later auction them for a charity of Speed's family's choice.
