  1. It is a fact that Adolf Hitler’s middle name, was in fact, Elizabeth. Not a lot of people know this.
  2. Yep. This forum and Rafa are the only two things keeping me even remotely giving a shit. 100% this. Though I could argue that's been the case for around 4-5 years now. Pre Rafa was grim
  3. Can we tread Caerphilly with these cheese jokes please?
  4. Excellent stuff. To anyone who says he should be able to enjoy going out for a meal? Tell that to the workers he mistreats at SD and what he has single handedly done to this city. Fuck him.
  5. Great sentiment. It would be great if pubs could get behind this and on production of your ST you get discounted beers for the duration of the match? Increases their bar takings and might make people more inclined to drink and watch in a pub

Imagine telling Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks that the Montgomery Bud Boycott wouldn’t work? “Well we’ve had Jim Crow laws for 100 years so it’s obviously not going to change anything is it? Let’s just keep getting the bus and be treated like shit”. It took MLK a year for the boycott to work, costing the bus company a fortune in lost revenue before the Supreme Court ruled it illegal. Sacrifices are never going to be easy. If it means not watching Newcastle for a game or two to send a message that may actually make Ashley sit up and notice - you’ve got to get behind it.
  7. The two photos compared are even more pertinent after KK talked about this moment last night. He fronted up to hundreds of fans booing him for the first time at Newcastle. How did he respond? With dignity and class. Two words I’d never associate with Ashley; demonstrated perfectly tonight.

    Kevin Keegan

No. It is, though, an odd example to pick to signify the joy of the Keegan era. If I recall correctly that game was the time he decided he had had enough. I remember seeing him at the game and thinking how miserable he looked (think he was wearing a black woolly hat). He said afterwards (not the full story I’m sure) that he just felt sorry for the Spurs manager (Francis?) rather than feeling the joy he felt he should have done. Must have been close to his final game. That’s why he picked us beating Leicester 7-1, not Spurs

He’s great isn’t he? He’s stirring a passion in me I’ve not had for Newcastle for years

I never understood or really forgave KK for leaving us with Ashely, then suing ‘us’ but see it clear as day now. I still wish he took them on Rafa style, maybe we would have been rid of him by now. It’s our fault too. We scared the shit out of Ashley with the Hull protests. We should have kept it up, but we didn’t.

    Kevin Keegan

All of that is painful to read. I’m genuinely furious. I was 14 when Keegan came back, so I don’t remember his first spell as I was too young. I’d never been so happy as a Newcastle supporter when he came back. Even though we were great under Sir Bobby and I loved it when he was manager...there was just something different about Keegan. I can honestly say, those 8 months he was in charge were bliss (even when we struggled to get a win early doors) and it felt we could go anywhere with him. He managed to turn an awful team full of a below average played into a decent one, playing good football within a few weeks/months. To this day, I still feel that having Keegan as a manger, like many of you had in the 90s, was stolen from me. It genuinely still hurts. I’ve wanted Ashley out ever since, and when that day comes, I hope I can love NUFC with the passion I used to have.
  13. I’m at work and can’t get out unfortunately. Imagine if we had a few Magpie Group etc there to stand up and say “we won’t stop until he goes”. That may throw the cat amongst the pigeons

  15. one of Wellers best imo- tho its a takeaway curry. You're right of course been a while and memory warped. Makes more sense I suppose. Great song. Tony Blackburn refused to play it on the radio at the time as it was “too violent”. Probably my favourite Jam song. The lyrics are outstanding. “They smelt of pubs, and Wormwood Scrubs and too many right wing meetings”
  16. I’d pay towards it. Get it on Grey or Northumberland Street
  17. I’ve thought that many a time. Surely one would think we’d have continued challenging? Perhaps not. Maybe we’d have continued on our downward spiral?

Non-illegal forms of protest are the best. Could bring the entire country to a standstill if we "Occupy Zebra crossings". And people take everything off the shelves go to the counter then say, oh actually I don’t want this now. That would take a lot to time for them to restack etc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
