Probably just pay them more to hang around. According to BBC "A wage cap could also be introduced on the errant clubs to ensure there is no rise on this season's squad wage bill for the Champions League." To be fair, I was surprised when I read the reports. It's further than I expected the UEFA to go - a squad limit and a wage cap can actually hurt them quite a bit. We'll see what happens after appeals, etc... but UEFA has taken the matter seriously, imho.

All our press taking for granted Luís Enrique will be our next manager. I'm still undecided - he's done well with Celta but dunno, I may be letting his career as a player inform my perception of his ability as a manager but doesn't strike me as a tactically nuanced fellow. But his character could be a good addition. Puyol rumoured as his assistant - while I applaud the idea of keeping Puyol in our dressing room, he doesn't even have his badges yet. But we regularly employ 2-3 assistants so we'll probably have somebody else with more technical nous.

To be honest, Valencia behaved like cunts for the last 30 minutes or so with the timewasting and injury feigning, which was unnecessary given how they had moped the floor with Sevilla up to that point. So there's a small bit of justice.

Come on, that's exactly how it went with Chelsea and Nantes - ban was suspended pending resolution of the appellation. And it should be that way - if the ban was upheld and then the TAS resolved against FIFA, those would be some damages we could exact.
