Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan
Wallsendmag replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
Or he is here until a proper company agrees to pay his reasonable asking price. He doesn't want to sell. It would take a ridiculous offer for him to even consider leaving, which won't happen. -

He's here forever. We need to accept that. -

It's the tv money that lines his pockets the most. Moron. -

Wouldn't be surprised if Rafa walked, nor would I blame him. -
Sky Sports News doing a feature on the Fraserburgh United v Rangers Scottish Cup tie at the weekend and was saying the reason they play in black and white stripes is because a local fish merchant had links to Newcastle United back in the day. Useless information but something I didn't know.

Done for pace a few times on Saturday by the Swansea full back a few of us noticed on Saturday. Because he's small and nippy people mistake that for raw pace which he doesn't have. If he's a key player for us we're in trouble.

Would be typical Sunderland that mind. Cover up and continue to pay a paedophile yet try to ship someone out to save a few quid because he has mental health issues (If this turns out to be the case).

And Sunderland.

Good news for us I suppose. -
Hasn't been great for a good few years now. Arsenal are a shambles.

Manchester City v Newcastle United - 20/01/2018 @ 17:30 (BT Sport)

Looked totally uninterested yesterday. When he's not scoring goals he contributes nothing else either. At least Joselu, his goal aside, won some headers and worked the two centre halves.

Don’t be too harsh on yourself. The king of banter strikes again

I quite like him but If he wasn't so fast (which gets him out of trouble time and time again) he'd be a Chmapionship player at best.
-
He's well short of being a Premier League footballer. Very poor yet again.

Agree and I'd add Atsu to that as well. Would be great to have a wide player who can run with the ball, beat his man and then whip a cross in.

Stoke City vs Newcastle United - 1/1/18, 3pm KO.

It's the only win we've had there in the PL. Seem to recall we won there in the Coca Cola Cup(?) under Keegan in the mid-90s. I was at that one. Would have been 1995ish and we beat them 4-0 at the old Victoria Ground. Never seen trouble like it before outside the ground afterwards, and it was quite tasty even just getting in beforehand. A rumour had gone round that a young lass from Stoke had been stabbed by a Newcastle fan earlier in the day (which wasn't true) and all hell broke loose. Remember their manager Lou Macari stirring things up as well. Was glad to get out in one piece that night. -
Would be very disappointed with Benitez if that was the case. He was taking an absolute eternity with the ball despite often having Ritchie and Atsu in acres of space on either flank. It appeared more that he just didn't have the awareness to pick either of them out, obviously it's easier to see who is in space when you have a vantage point above pitch level in the stands but it was narve winding the crowd up.

I don't like him so I've deduced he doesn't try because I'm too thick and angry to work out he mightn't be good enough. What a load of s****. You are thick as mince like Disco lad. For once I agree with you there. I've known Hayden wasn't good enough a long time ago.

Should get free season tickets for the amount of graft they put in. -

Thought the atmosphere was ok but these performances suck the life out of the crowd. It's hard to get excited when you're sat there bored rigid. 5 home defeats in a row before today, now 6 home games without a win and we've only managed to score in one of those six games. I can't remember a run like that in the 35 years I've been supporting NUFC. -

We were shocking. If we play like that for the last 17 games of the season then we're back down to the Championship. Brighton looked poor (and are poor tbf) as well but at least offered some threat from set pieces.
