I'm having a real argument with myself about getting a season ticket. I have been saying for the last two years I would but haven't. The only real negative is if I get value for money as I doubt I'll make every home game. But then I counteract that with getting a family stand adult and child ticket for £445, spread over 8 months DD is £55 a month. It's also £113 cheaper than getting a single Cat 2 ST. If I randomly went to, say, 8 home games next season paying £35 a ticket that's near on £300 plus taking a kid along to a few games is going to put that over the total cost of the ticket for every game. Then there is the added bonus of being able to get away tickets easier and the 10 year deal which I doubt will come round again. Does anyone know that if I have an adult and child ticket in the family stand do I have to have a kid with me every time (and does it have to be the same kid as I have 6 - although only 4 are of an age I would take to the game). I wouldn't bring them up from London for midweek games and I'd have to share them out equally. Plus there may be occasions when I don't want a kid with me due to having an NOFC match or drinking session. If it would be a problem I'd then look at a single ticket - which would seriously piss off the wife and kids - and would push the cost to £70 a month. I have till Wednesday to make my mind up.

Just a small point. AFC Wimbledon are not 'back' in the football league. They have never played in the league before. They are a new club. But we've been over this before and I have stated my reasons for hating them and their fans. My only solace on this dark day is that maybe we can draw them in the league cup and a hoarde of geordies can show them what it is like to have your ground wrecked by opposing fans.

I'm going to this one, so we will lose. Only seen us win once this season and that was in September.

Pep fucked up when he took Villa off. Iniesta is a great player but he's no forward and Keita is vastly inferior to Iniesta. It invited Arsenal to push forward more knowing Barca were weaker in both sections of the pitch.

It was a cross gone wrong man. It never was man. He's smashed that at the near post. Hit it way, way too hard to be a pull back.

Apologies if this a) has been mentioned already but there's a lot of posts to look through and b) is just me being a bit thick. Is the option to pay by direct debit available to everyone and is it payments over 12 months? Reckon I might be able to get myself one if it is the case as will make it much more affordable.

Think I'm going to go out, get a hair cut maybe.

I'll have to clear it with the wife but I can probably make the 5th. Would mean I'd have to miss the NOFC game at Stoke on the 19th though. can't do 12th or 26th as I'm working and on 2nd I'll have just got back from Eurodisney.

Xisco joins Deportivo on loan until the end of the season

Surely this guy can't be worse than our other options. Why let him go on loan when we have a threadbare squad as it is. -
Up there as one of the best right backs england has ever seen. Well spoken and clearly knowledgeable about football. It's such a shame he's a completely odious cunt really.

Left home and heading into town for a pint or four before the match. I still think we have enough about us to get something from this. Given the players available a draw will be a good result.

Disco man, every team in the Premier League now has a player doing the same job that Batty did and many of them are technically more gifted aswell. He did a job, but in terms of being anything more than ordinary, I'm afraid he was not.
-
Batty was the ultimate one dimensional player. Limited in ability and got by purely because he was 'terrier like' and fierce in the tackle. Lee had everything, was the complete central midfielder. Went box to box, tackled, scored, created and inspired. There is just no comparison. Batty should have been nowhere near an england team that had Paul Ince to do that job. He never impressed me when he played for us. He was nothing special.
-
21 England caps say otherwise. A criminally low amount for such a talented player. Batty got 42 and was inferior in every way. Neil Webb, Kieron Dyer, Nicky Butt, Gareth Barry, Phil Neville and SWP all have more. I rest my case.

Best midfielder in England for a good three seasons if you ask me. Never got the recognition he deserved, outside of NUFC people of course. A true club legend.

I've not got a name on the back of a shirt, aside from my MKSC #4 which graced SJP last year, since I got Cole printed on the back of my green with blue pin stripes shirt literally days before he went to ManUre. I promised myself there and then I wouldn't ruin another shirt and I'll stick to that.

Isn't that what we were doing anyway? Not really, things were looking positive for when the likes of Carroll and Ben Arfa returned. Nothing much has changed for me, except that there is some extra money in the bank, if that goes off the debt to MA or back to the team makes no difference to me. What an utterly bizarre thing to say. Why? I can't see things changing in any way, shape or form. Ashley will still be Ashley, £35m won't suddenly transform us in to a champions league team and no matter what happens our fans will still go all at the merest inkling of a signing/player leaving/world ending. I'm not going to get caught up in all the 'excitement'. And what's wrong with paying back some of the debt (and I mean that purely in a financial sense) that the club owes Ashley. It's £35m less we need to find to get rid of him.

Isn't that what we were doing anyway? Not really, things were looking positive for when the likes of Carroll and Ben Arfa returned. How things look is all about subjective viewpoints. I've been happy to take the good performances safe in the knowledge that it can all crumble at any point. Ben Arfa is by no means guaranteed to make any impact this season. We would have been happy to coast through to a 15th or 16th place finish in August so why would a few decent performances mixed in with some shoddy ones change that. Nothing much has changed for me, except that there is some extra money in the bank, if that goes off the debt to MA or back to the team makes no difference to me. anyway, back on topic. Still going, still think it'll be tight. We might just scrape it.
-
I think we need a new one, maybe Carroll heading off to Liverpool with Steven Taylor doing some kind of celebration dance, safe in the knowledge he won't be getting a beating from him again. we need a bit of comedy to lighten this place up.

Stop moaning Neesy man. Go along, support the team and hope for a good result. If you are gonna be a miserable little bastard I'll be forced to twat you one on wednesday. NUFC is bigger than a pony-tailed charver and a fat bastard with a bundle of notes in his sky rocket. Life goes on, football goes on and the constant struggle of supporting Newcastle United FC will continue to be the longest running comedy in the history of mankind.

Me n'all. Definite home banker. Should be good though, Fulham are improving but they aren't anything special. Depends on who we get out on the pitch I suppose. Debating if I should wear by blue top or not, it hasn't brought much luck in previous outings.

You sure Rocker, I reckon they'd want the cash upfront like. Just a little in-joke. I love Rocker loads.
