  1. One of them was Brett Emerton. Nuff said. Man has clearly lost any football knowledge that he may have once possessed. Probably lost it on smogside.
  2. Watford 3-0 down at home to Palace. Plenty of people leaving in the background as SSN talk to the reporter.

I would imagine not, guess we'll only find out on Cup Semi-final day. But what are the FA gonna do, Fine them? Dock them points?

    MLS 2010

Back on the original point, I think I might just observe the MLS this season without picking a team and then go with Portland next year. I used to like the Trailblazers in the NBA when I was into basketball back in the mid 90's so it's as good a link as I am likely to get. And I've always thought of Oregon as a nice sort of place, I've never been but it looks nice, if you get what I mean.

Will the MLS owners go for relegation?? I can't see them accepting the idea. One of the fundamental things of the american sports leagues is that, no matter how badly your team do, you will still be in the top league next season. This is what enables them to pay huge money to the stars (yeah, i know they don't get paid shit loads in MLS compared to NFL, NBA etc but they do when you consider the size of the audience is a lot smaller than the other sports) is the fact that they know the Broadcasting money and sponsorship will still be there next season, unlike here where if you get relegated from the Premier League you know you are gonna take a massive hit financially.
  6. shouldnt you be writing an essay about supermarkets manipulating customers? I am, but I keep getting facebook notifications and then I think, well I'll just check N-O while I'm at it. Seriously short span of attention. Oh, and of course the topic being as boring as hell doesn't help keep me interested.
  7. On the subject of tickets. Gallowgate or SJH (L4 or L7)?? I've not sat in the gallowgate before and do fancy that (also the trek up to L7 nearly killed me last time) but I do want to get a good atmos for this big game and I've seen a few people on here saying the GG has been a bit quiet this season.

I've googled them but nothing seems to come up. Are you sure you've got that right?

I prefer Relentless myself, or the classic Lucozade Sport. As John Barnes used to say, "it get's to your thirst, fast."

Yeah, not sure I can go for them. I've never really been able to forgive the city for all that nonsense back in 1776. And the name Philadelphia 'Union'. It seems to me they are just flaunting their independence in our faces. It's just bad manners.

Ok, I'm availalbe for auction. Convince me which MLS team I should follow. Bribes are a good start.
  12. By that I mean it's an issue that will always spark religious debate. You get the ones who say Homosexuality is an abomination and a sin, then the more new age christians say we are all god 's creatures and god loves us equally no matter what, then obviously Islam say's it is evil and I don't think Judaism is a fan of bumsex either. And obviously the hardcore fundamentalists can never refuse quoting scripture when homosexuality is discussed.
  13. Homosexuality will always bring out the god botherers, it reminds me of that spoof church group internet forum from america. Personally I no big fan of "the gays", especially when it is in your face and all over the telly thanks to the right on soaps, but society today is what it is and there isn't really any point making a fuss of it. We are all here and have to do what we can to get along and avoid ridiculous violence and disorder, which I am equally not a fan of.
  14. In Leviticus it also says it is an abomination to eat shellfish, so is everyone who eats a seafood pizza condemned? In John 3:16 it says whosoever believes in God will have life everlasting, making no distinction between sexualities. Note "Whosoever" not whosoever as long as you are straight. http://www.starstore.com/acatalog/WWE-Austin-SP0520.jpg Austin 3:16 say's I just whooped your ass!
  15. Will be up for this one aswell, although my attendance hasn't been too bad this season. 8 home games and 4 away games so far, my best effort ever by some distance. Hope to get up for Blackpool and Ipswich if I can and will be at the QPR game one way or another. I'm pretty confident we'll have enough to win this one, particularly as it looks like we could have a full squad bar Saylor. It won't be a cakewalk but I can see it being an exciting game, maybe something like 3-2 to us.
  16. Oh Peter Reid is monkeyhead... so much to learn still... Consider this part of your continued education.
  17. It certainly was, has looked a completely different player this season.
  18. I'd be surprised if he could read tbh, doesn't really come accross as having any sort of intelligent activity going on inside his head.
  19. Just had £2 on Carroll to score the next goal on skybet. Beautiful.
  20. Toss up between Big Andy and McLoven. Don't think Nolan will get more than one or two before the end of the season whereas the other two should get 4/5 each. I'll go for Carroll.
  21. Guy I know in London is from Scunny, he told me once that the filters on the internet at Scunthorpe Council stopped all incoming/outgoing emails ([email protected] or the like) because of the spelling. They had to change everything to north lincs council to avoid removing the internet filters, cost millions. Anyway, hope we give them a thrashing tonight so I can give him some stick. God knows he gave it out to me back in October.
  22. If Forest win all of their matches and lose to us, and we win all of our matches then allowing for our far superior goal difference we would be promoted with a win at the Peterborough away game, although we'd technically need a point from the Sheffield United game (or if Forest don't win their match against Cardiff it has much the same effect) on the monday to be mathematically certain. We'd need Forest to lose once, Posh (h) and Palace (h), as well as Leicester to drop points once against Cov (h) and Reading (h), Swansea and Cardiff would also probably need to drop a point somewhere if we were to secure promotion at home to Forest. Most likely, if we keep winning, is one of the home games against Sheff Utd or Blackpool. Championship is likely to be the Ipswich home game. Obviously this is only if we keep winning.
  23. I think, if my logic is correct, I'm right in saying it would be 15 needed if we beat Forest (including the 3 from beating them) as that will be three points they can't get.
  24. I love the phrase. Was very common in the warehouse of the Kitchen company I worked for. That and shit-tits. Obviously it was used as a term of affection amongst the lads rather than anything offensive.
