were you and your wife together when they done it ? No, as I said we were separated at the time. Doesn't excuse it though, he knew the situation and knew that I wanted to get back with her. She didn't fveel the same, obviously, but as my friend he shouldn't have crossed that boundary. Friends ex's, sisters, daughters and mum's are off limits. It's standard procedure.

I will add also, from bitter personal experience, that this sort of thing can be a massive deal to the friends and family of those involved. 8 years ago, a person I considered to be a very good friend of mine, a teammate in both my saturday and sunday sides, a guy who I went out drinking with five nights a week, did some private work and lots more, did just this to me. I separated from my wife, the mother of my then 18 month old son, in the summer and a few months later found out that he had met her in a pub one night - fully aware of who she was - and went home with her. They then started seeing each other regularly, although keeping it quiet. A few people did know about it and eventually I found out. Friends told me I should have smashed him all over the place but that's not my way. I cut him out of my life completely. If I knew he was going to be out with my mates then I wouldn't go. It caused a rift in our group of friends and made it very difficult for me, it also made my relationship with the people who knew about it and said nothing very tricky. Needless to say any chance of reconcilitation with my wife had vanished. I still had to play football with this bloke, and although we managed not to fight in training or on match days it was a very surreal atmosphere as our only communication was basic football match talk. Don't underestimate the damage that can be done by this sort of betrayal.

I think the main point here is not that John Terry went nuts deep on a fit french underwear model. If he wants to cheat on his wife then he can, it's his choice. He's been caught doing it before so it can come as no surprise to his wife that he has done it again. In the mega-rich celebrity world of shameless behaviour there are no doubt many temptations which only the strongest and most devout can resist. The matter here is one of trust, morality and loyalty. John Terry and Wayne Bridge were very very good friends, work colleagues and teammates. As such this lady, the mother of his friends son, should have been totally off limits. It shows how highly he thinks of himself, and conversely how liitle he thinks of others, that he could throw away his friendship so easily. Maybe it never occurred to him what a devastating effect this could have on the people around him. As captain of Chelsea and England he has to command the respect of his teammates. No doubt many of these have had extra-marital affiars themselves and/or done things considered to be wrong. But in a world where the fraternal bonds of the team are supposed to be sacred, where team spirit and togetherness count so highly, it could be hugely problematic. Now Wayne Bridge might not be a first choice England player (personally I wouldn't take him to the world cup anyway) but the point is that he could well be a popular player. It could cause a stand off between some players and cause a split in the dressing room. Just what we need in the run up to the world cup. Morality and the like should have no bearing in the picking of the team, that should be down to ability and as such he must still play for England, but how can he captain people who will have lost all respect for him. Terry is an odious individual. A self absorbed arsehole who believes he is above everyone else, he has shown time and again uteer contempt for his position as England captain with his loutish behaviour and the dodgy situations he finds himself in. He should do the decent thing and offer his resignation, show some semblence of remorse for what he has done. He should dedicate himself to repairing the damage he has done and redouble his efforts to be a good man both on and off the pitch.

Best is a decent striker at this level. He certainly has an eye for goal and is strong and seems to be a handful for defenders. It can't hurt to have another option available. If he scores 5 to 10 goals and helps us get promoted then he'll have done what's required. If he stays on after that will be a matter for the management to sort.

That were me edit: trying to work out the stadium in the reflection. that's surely the CoMS? Logical sugggestion seeing as she was with Wayne Bridge.
-
Yeah, that's why he isn't getting selected, because he doesn't want to play. Still, good news for Stephen Warnock.

Only till the end of the season. Benitez to Juve could be a good result all round. Liverpool get rid of him without having to pay him off, maybe giving him a small loyalty bonus. Benny walks into a top club even though he has made a pigs ear of the last couple of years at Anfield. Juventus get themselves a manager who is proven (at what I'm not sure) at the top level and whose defensive tactics will probably suit Italian football.

19 year old Dutch full back. Apparently he played against us at Cov earlier in the season. I can't say that I noticed him, but then nobody in their team stood out for me as being of any quality that night. Didn't actually play for Chelsea at Preston, was an unused sub. I guess he'll just be another body to cover Kadar as he is our only left back at the minute with Jose out.

Do you think he is going to risk being stuck with Palace/having to go somewhere he really doesn't want to go? There are only 4 days left, he will probably have a fair idea of where he wants to go (what type of team) and will have informed his agent already, much like I would expect the Pompey players will have. It's all now down to who comes in for him and what the administrators think is a fair offer for him. No, he will probably want to get out, but I'd hope not at the risk of making a bad move for his career. He's got the ability and is going to get to a top team eventually. If he wants to come here but Palace are trying to send him to Wigan or something for an extra £1million then he'd be better off sitting tight and screwing them over.
-
Spurs and Gareth Bale? There is probably a few who have been to spurs over the last few years actually. Huddlestone and Dawson would go in that bracket. Still, I maintain it's not that common. They'd rather buy a more experienced player or preferably a foreigner.
-
The player has all the power in this situation. The administrators might want to sell him to one club for 5 mill, but if he doesn't want to go he doesn't have to. He has a contract and is entitled to sit it out at Palace if he decides, if the club goes tits up then he can go where he likes anyway. The admins are desperate for cash so would probably take a reasonable offer if it meant getting some cash as opposed to none.

To be honest, how many times do Premiership clubs actually buy young players from Championship clubs, particularly ones who have never played in the Premier League. The odd one or two might go to Bolton, Stoke or clubs of that ilk but certainly not the top teams. Only Arsenal have done it recently I think with Ramsay (waits to be proved wrong with a list as long as my arm of just such players).

That'll Dindane-do for him.
-
He's not a youth product. They bought him from Isthmian League side Maidstone United about 18 months ago, he would have been 18/19 then. He's been training with the first team squad ever since. Hodgson does look a lot at non-league players, Hampton & Richmond were very close to agreeing a deal in last year's winter window for striker Ben Wright to go to Craven Cottage. Was supposed to be around 150k, They pulled out at the last minute over a medical issue and he went to Peterborough instead for about 75k.

Cool, I'll be driving up anyway and crashing at me gran's so I'm in no rush to book train tickets or a hotel. I wouldn't bother coming up just for the friday game so if the Red Vs Blues game isn't on then I won't be coming up. That be my only reason for wanting to know for sure if it is going ahead. I'm still sore from my game on saturday. 9 months off followed by 90 minutes in midfield was a seriously bad idea. I did score a 35 yarder though, so I reckon I've still got enough to get by. http://www.harriersfansteam.co.uk/hampton(a).html That were me that was.

They do say everything evens itself out over a season. Not normally this quick though, is it?
-
Is there likely to be enough people to play this game?? Need to know so I can a) tell the wife I'm not here next weekend and b) tell my gran I'm crashing on her sofa on friday night.

Can Colo speak English? Fairly sure he can. He had a very basic grasp of the language a year and a half ago so... Tevez has been here nearly four years and barely speaks a word of it, so there is no guarantee. -
No. 12? What relevance does that have.. because Boca do? If anything it should be Level 7. It means the 12th man, I like that idea. Personally I dont like the TU name... it potentially puts some people off and it should be a name that encourages more people to join in the same type of mentality imo. So we would basically be copying the Boro who call themselves The Twe12th Man? Is that right? Wouldnt want to be seen copying Boro like. http://www.twe12thman.co.uk/ Nice to see that site is kept up to date.

He's fit, been playing well for QPR, we're at home and as such should be on the offensive, he'll be plenty up for his debut I'd imagine. Makes sense to play him. -

Only seen him play once, in the CC at Posh. Most people seemed to think he did ok but I thought he got raped time and again. To be fair to the lad though he was pretty much left exposed 2 on 1 that night as the formation was all over the shop, particularly after DG got sent off, and only Steven Taylor had a decent game. Happy to give him the benefit of the doubt. -

Harper Tavernier Williamson Colo Enrique Smith Routledge Nolan Jonas Ameobi Loven Will be this, CH already set up for playing Tav after that press release. Won't drop Smith or Nolan. Guthers on the bench -
Should do well for us. Always thought he was a decent player and was a bit surprised it never worked out for him at Spurs or Villa, you'd have thought he was just the right sort of player for them. All in all this is turning out to be a pretty active transfer window. Anyone else got a mental image of Strachan bouncing off the walls down at t'riverside like Yosemite Sam??

Bastards. Giving us hope. It's unfair of them.

Half time. I am still waiting for recommendations. IMO you can't beat a pie of some variety.
