  1. Should stop listening to idiots on twitter even if they are journalists ( actually that is even more reason to ignore them) Vain queer #rtg
  2. 4-2-3-1? or 4-4-2 with Marvs and Sissoko out wide ( ) Anything is better than recent pre-signings form but id much prefer 4-2-3-1, would be pretty sweet, though interested to see how effective Gouffran is out wide
  3. Finally, Pards seems to have realised, though i must stress for all his tactical shortcomings this season, Pards has handled this pretty well on the whole. He has been respectful so far and now its time for Colo to clear things up.

    Loïc Remy

They'll just absolve him of all blame. "QPR were already down, no manager could have saved them" etc.
  5. Don't want to be negative, but football has been fun this week, as we haven't had a game. I feel like actually seeing us play may kill my mood

That last post, "Brown is better than any defender you've got" http://i1.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article1529148.ece/ALTERNATES/s615/Fabricio%20Coloccini%20of%20Newcastle

    Other clubs' transfers

Can't find the link now but Anelka to Juventus is expected to be completed in next couple of hours
  8. I picked the 3 that were the most popular 3 on here (QPR, Villa, Reading). Clearly everyone else has the same thought that Wigan will go ona run...AGAIN!
  9. I honestly just don't get what people have been smoking. Even Pardew rightly puts him in midfield. I think everyone realises that is his best role but we also realise he is better option than Obertan, Jonas, Shola etc etc. That is enough to make me think he is a winger
  10. Ashley wouldnt have invested so much in these french players if this season had Ben Arfa's good as last season....

    penny finally dropped?
  12. In all fairness, 2 guys at work (neither are mags mind) both piped up earlier with "not bad for £1mil...oh, i thought that was Yohann Gourcuff! never heard of him then..."

    Papiss Cissé

Good call. Someone said Beardsley who worked well with Cole. Also Bebeto was a very good foil for Romario with Brazil a good few years back. Would it work in a 4-3-3 which is what we are hopefully looking towards? I love Berbatov and wish we had signed him, but if we are going 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 then that player becomes redundant unless we drop Cisse. 442 on the other hand would suit (more of a 4-2-1-1). Quick but technical wingers are needed to supply Cisse. Ben Arfa is a good start, remains to be seen how Gouffran can fit into it. I wasn't against Obertan being on the left for that first half against Arsenal for example, and it pins opposition full backs back.
  14. I have to say i got carried away really, when you are dissapointed and annoyed by your sides performance, and generally he was the weakest part of the team, its easy to turn criticisms of his game in to personal attacks. When you mellow out and take a look youre like "man, maybe went a bit far", especially when you measure him on the Alan Smith scale... I'm sure he is a lovely guy, but unfortunately not good enough. Sell and hope he does well elsewhere
  15. To be fair, just saying he is "proud" doesn't mean he is actually proud...but in general he seems on a more even keel with regard to attitude. We liked Remy's dancing and G-ness, but Gouffran will be better suited to our side at the moment, and to be fair, for £1.3mil, is practically a free player! Didn't Williamson cost £2mil?
  16. Could be the only game where we see Mbiwa alongside Colo
  17. I really wish it fit in with this; Juninho Pernambucano lalalalaaaa - Chant OL 2eme fois Yanga-Mbiwa, LA LA LA LA LA...just over and over again instead of "Pernambucano"...
  18. To be fair i think Benzema would atleast consider us when he looks at Yohan's "come to my club" eyes...dreamboat...
  19. Goal Yoan GOUFFRAN (14') - Evian TG FC - Girondins de Bordeaux (2-3) on tubeyou...not bad...
  20. Is he not on £85k pw? He's on 60k a week now. So that was the conditions of the new 5 year contract last year? If so, not bad by Ashley like... This is a case of player power. The alternative is that he stays and is forced into the reserves. We all lose out. Least this way we recoup the wages (I know we lose out on a fee but we know Ashley wouldnt snub a chance to save some cash...). I think he will stay til end of the season. Hopefully the fans stay behind him and give him a send off (unless his "personal issue" is more along the lines of the "rumours" rather than the illness story)
  21. That would quite a sight. Its easy to mock him for that slip up in typing, just sounds bitter tbh...
